Among other issues during last night's Luis Miguel's concert at the Toyota Center: A coworker here says the sound was awful. Does anyone know if concert technical people have to bring in their own sound, or if the TC provides it? She also says that, while doing the show, he kept signaling to someone in his crew to "fix" things like lights and sound. I know that there aren't only Hispanics going to the concert... I didn't go, by the way. This is bad if all the other concerts will be the same there.
When a band plays a place the size of the Toyota Center, they are responsible for their own sound reinforcement system.
I was there last night, ironically my first trip to the Toyota Center and it wasn't for the Rockets, and I did feel some of the sound issues. My seats were mid-lower prom directly on the right side of the stage, and the sound seemed to be facing outward and not to those areas. I plan on calling the Toyota Center and complaining because the tickets were a birthday present for this girl i'm seeing and she LOVES Luis Miguel (Like any woman from Latin America). Hopefully if I complain about it, I can convince them that a reasonable solution would be presenting me with a few Rockets tickets or my money back. If any of you guys haven't seen this guy in concert, even if you don't speak spanish, he is amazing. Most of these Ricky Martin types don't have 10% the voice of this guy.
