I saw Lue made two 3pt tonite. But apparently he dont knew how to pass. He fed few balls to Yao, or passed the lag balls, or the low.
Why did Barrett get DNP in a row? At least He knows his role and he passed better than Lue and Ward.

The only reason I can think of is that there is a trade pending in the future that involves a few Rocket players and Tyrone Lue is one of them. I sure hope so. Because the fact is that Tyrone Lue inability to pass the ball to Yao in the post is hurting my hand from punching the tv screen. I may have to sue Lue for causing me to have a bruised or broken hand.

Lue is horrible, sure he hit a couple of 3 pts but his skill as a PG is WAY below NBA standard.

Lue's problem is more about his defensive liability.
If AB played today, Rox would finish Bobcat off during the regulation.

My prob with Lue is he doesnt take it to the rack or push the ball... AB is very very fast, like JVG said he was signed so our reg points can pratice against him because AB is more of the type of point that kills Lue, Ward...    SEE SIG ALSO...

Barrett needs to play more than Lue and Ward. It is clear that Barrett knows how to find the open man, make shots, and is quick. However, JVG is not sold on him.

Barrett is too fast for JVG's liking. When AB pushes the ball upcourt quickly, JVG's head starts spinning and he gets all confused. He's not used to seeing one of his teams move that fast. If it happens a couple of times in a row, he might just pass out.

I heard he was going to the YMCA Blue Birds, but that trade fell through because they play an inside out game, and Lue could not get the ball to their post player.

Man I can't find that post I had couple of days ago about my take on the Lue-Dre situation.

    Anyway.

We are all in love with Dre, for his hustle and energy. However, there are reasons why 5'7 guards are uncommon in the league. I really don't feel like writing too much at this point. Perhaps tommorrow....

Anyone know that Tabuse was released from the Suns? From what I have seen and read, this kid can play. If we are going to use Dre, we might as well give Tabuse a shot too. They have a common weakness though, their height.

I just think he plays better than Lue. He's a teamplayer. whereas Lue is not. His hustle and energy is a plus but not the prime matter.

Nobady has no weakness. Comparing with Barrett's height, Lue's court vision is a fatal weakness (especially for PG). At least, Barrett is taller than Boykins. He's worth some minutes.

Barrett is worth some minutes. So is Lue. Everyone is so down on Lue...he was playing very solidly until he hurt his knee. Not sure what the stats look like.. but he was consistently able to penetrate and kick. He hit the 3 decently (though I think that started slow and was improving).. and he hit some shots in the lane. He was the one guy who could break someone down if the shot clock was running down.

That's why I don't think you all should be bashing Lue so much. However, I will say that since he has come off the IL, he seems to be just *slightly* less quick...and with Lue, that slight loss of quickness makes him suddenly lose his advantage. He can't get by his man anymore, his defense isn't as in-your-face, he can't break someone down, he can't drive-and-kick.. his game is built on quickness. To take any away exposes his weaknesses.

Don't bash the guy cause he's not a piece of crap. But give Barrett more minutes..

Whether Dre contributes more than Lue remains to be seen. I agree if Dre doesn't get more time, we'll never know.

Shorter players have too many disadvantages. Especially if you are super short like Dre. I mean Lue is a small guard, but he looks big next to Dre. Tiny players can survive in the league, like Mugsy and what's his face in Denver. It's just very rare because it's hard for them to play in a bigger man's game. On both ends of the floor, you would suffer so much due to height alone. You would have to be so good at the intangibles for the coach to play you.

Dre is valueble to this team, especially when we play quick small guards. He's also a great practice player.

Seriously though, Tabuse=Dre with a jump shot. If we are considering using Dre, we need to look at Tabuse.

I also wanted to add that this whole "Lue doesn't know his role" thing isn't really a true statement. Maybe you meant something else by it...but what do you think he does? Does he try to take over the game? Does he try to take his man 1 on 1 and be the first option on the team? Not really..
