    LT and Drew Brees both deserved it. This is a great choice, though.

    Brees probably was the more valuable player to his team in terms of wins and losses, but im sure the voters felt compelled to give LT the award just because of his amazing season. i have no problem with it.

    The Chargers went 14-2... and wrapped up homefield advantage in the tougher conference/division.

    LT has more to do with that than any other player on the Chargers. Sure, Brees had the bigger IMPACT, in helping to turn around that Saints team, but LT was just as valuable (and had contributions that led to wins) as Brees was. (if not more).

    Why can't MLB follow suit and give out awards like this while the season is still ongoing? It's like they just announced Howard as the MVP yesterday.
