I just got back from my biz trip to the EU, and we had a power outage while away, and now I get the annoying screen that allows you to boot up in:

    Safe Mode
    Safe Mode with Networking
    Last known good config
    Normally

Basically, I have tried them all, and it just comes back to this screen. I did get a low system battery indicator, and saw that the time for it was Jan 1. 2005.....so clearly I need to replace that.

But would that cause this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Not yet, I just got back late last night, and unplugged it overnight.....got the same warning then noticed the date was 2005.

Would replacing it fix the looping problem?

I can easily replace it, but I am thinking of taking it in, because I don't want to mess anything up if it is a bigger issue.

No, I replaced that, and had the same issue......I could have reinstalled the software, but figured I would let them have a go.
