So freaky - we used to party here during high school, before & after this happened. For a few weeks after it happened the cops would kick us out of the area when we'd go there to drink or take girls...

Hell, I still jog & bike through this area all the time...

    FREAK

Unless the murderer had a gun, I never understood why they wouldn't have driven off, fought, ran... unless he had a gun or help.

Or maybe they knew the killer(s).

I remember this very, very well. I grew up off of Dairy Ashford and I-10, near Memorial Dr. My friends and I used to ride our bikes over there in that area before it was developed. It's incredibly developed today. There used to be a great little pond there, next to very old and very small cemetary, right off of Enclave. My first apartment with my wife was at Enclave @ Briar Forest.

I remember this story freaked people out for a while around here.

    Ahhh, the infamous "duck pond!"

Spent many a drunken evening there in high school.

Did you go to Stratford as well?

I lived in Thornwood on memorial and eldridge (the one not next to the cemetary) and can say I don't remember these murders at all. I am still pissed about the enclave and eldridge developments there though.... used to be so empty and beautiful.

I don't remember hearing about any of this, either. I really would've thought this kind of thing would get more press back then.

Heck, in my neck of the woods all we had was a high school coach that got caught screwing around with three high-schooler girls.

I knew two of the three.:p

I went to Stratford and for a long time after the murders, at all the parties back in that area, and in those woods, people would try to freak each other out by saying they saw someone in the woods, or heard something...

Hell, we used to go muddin' back there too back in the day w/ nary a police car around. There were still cows and pastures out there up until about 5 years ago... Kind of sad really.

Max, I expected better of you. You know it's bad netiquette to have two accounts here.

Well, the only other Stratford alum I know that also went to Baylor & UH Law was a guy whose initials are BM.

If those are your initials we do know each other, lol.

No, I lived in the Thornwood next to the formerly BFI building and sandwiched by the park. That neigborhood along with others on memorial between eldridge and highway 6 are part of Katy ISD.

Although, I was on the neighborhood swim team from '92 to '98, so I was probably in your neighborhood every day of the summer.
