    :(

That's about all I have to say about this game.

If one bit of "good" can be drawn from it, it backs up the arguments that UF was lucky versus Tennessee last week instead of necessarily being the better team.

FSU's QB race is open again; the rain killed us.

Louisville has some cocky players for a team that should have been blown away (w/o rain of course).

That was a very exciting game - a great exemplification of why I love the sport.

Florida State will bounce back... they're too good.

If A&M had anything that resembled an offense, VA Tech would've lost that game badly.

And if the refs hadn't been blind, Iowa State would have defeated overrated FSU.

VaTech is anything but overrated. They've scheduled three tough non-conference road games: LSU, A&M, and Marshall. They won all three in convincing fashion. This team has proven that it belongs in the nation's elite. I would rank their defense as one of the best alongside the likes of OU, Miami, Texas, and A&M.

Dave Ragone certainly caught the eyes of pro scouts today. Threw a pretty spiral that was on target all night. I expect his name to be called within the top-10 picks, right after Byron Leftwich of Marshall. At 6-5" 250, Ragone's guy's a prototype NFL QB who can take a hit. He showed tonight that he's better than Simms.

Gawd, Tom Jackson is going to be gloating on NFL Countdown on Sunday...

God help us if Brown beats Harvard tomorrow and Chris Berman starts gloating too. :)

Actually, if Louisville didn't make the mistakes in t he endzone, they may have won without overtime.

Also, I don't think UF was lucky. What'd they win by, 17? Tennessee came out flat and couldn't handle the rain.

Uh, absolutely no replays showed that he got in the endzone and scored that touchdown. The ref was right there on top of the call.

Yeah, that's why FSU beat Virginia Tech in the Gator Bowl last year; that's why they have won two national titles over the past decade; that's why they played in three BCS title games; and that's why until last year, they had finished in the top 5 in the polls for 12 consecutive seasons.

Get a clue - this game was all about one thing: the rain. FSU didn't do so hot in it, mainly because of Chris Rix. Louisville's not a bad team, though they shouldn'tve beaten FSU. Rain, again, is the great equalizer.

FSU probably won't drop much further than 10th; to think they'd fall out of the top 20 in a game such as this one, all the way from 4th, is absurd. Not to mention that the Todd beamer foundation approved the usage of that slogan by FSU and that numerous other schools now have t-shirts printed in their team's colors with that very same phrase.

UF also struggled mightily against one of the worst teams in I-A college football, Ohio, at home the week before. What's my point? That game was played in the rain, giving the Gators a significant advantage going into the game versus Tennessee. What it showed? The rain is the great equalizer.
