With TMAC out for basically the remainder of the season, I think that the ROX will roll over and pick up a nice lottery selection. Boy, Adam Morrison would be lovely!!!!!

Morrison and McGrady play the same position. I don't think that's a good fit.

bingo. losing the weight would probably help his back, as well.

as for those that don't want tmac at the 2 spot because he'd be chasing 2 gaurds around the perimeter...so what. with good team defense, a 7'6" center, and a jumping bean power forward, our defense should be spectacular.

i'd love to see morrison in the red and white next year...

This was the first day I really studied the upcoming 2006 draft after getting the T-Mac news. To tank or not to tank is going to be the big question after the next 4 or 5 games are completed. Would love to see the rockets get a top 10 pick in the lottery.

Screw the lottery. I want the Rockets to go to the playoffs!! I don't want the Rockets to give up just because T-Mac will be out. Can the Rockets pick up someone to help or they don't have any cash to pick up someone?? I wouldn't mind Spree here, reason being he has played for JVG and would know what to do.

Why do we have trolls come out of the woodworks once one of our star players go down?

You kerry Mckee are not a Rockets fan.

I don't know why people seem to have a problem with T-Mac at the SG. He was a SG in Orlando and he played SG here for the first half of last season. He actually presents more matchup problems for other teams at the SG because of his size. And I think he has proven that he can handle anything defensively without it affecting his offense.

As much as the Rockets "brain trust" has painted themselves into a corner with bad acquistions and stupid contracts, the lottery might be the only way they can improve the team in the next few years. And they will need a good bit of luck because, apparently, they are not shrewd enough to do it by themselves. I have completely lost confidence in JVG ane CD as far as evaluating talent is concerned:

    Bowen- F
    Head- C
    Alston- C+ to B-
    Ming- A+
    TMac- A+
    Brunson- F
    Mutombo- B
    Lampe- Unknown
    Wesley- C+
    Howard- C+ to B-
    Bogans- C+
    Fitch Unknown
    Hayes C
    Swift C
    Trading Jackson F
    Trading James F
Not resigning "Scotty the Body" F

Now if you add on past acquistions it really gets bad:
    Moochie F
    Spoon F
    Strickland F
    Ward F
    V. Baker F
    MTaylor F
    Cato F
    D. Anderson F
    etc.

it's too late. the Rockets will win at least 2 or 3 more games by accident (some other team trying to tank? :p) . 33 wins is going to put them too high in the lottery at best in a weak draft. that combined with the weak cowardly morale the team goes through is just not worth it. cmon, this is the most disgraceful thing a team could do to Yao. he's busting his back (no pun intended) carrying the Rockets, and his teammates refuse to help him because the playoffs are seemingly out of the picture? in the end, they must never give up and try. quitting is for losers. do you want the Rockets to be losers next year?

Morrison won't be there when we pick, we won't fall far enough in the standings TMac or no TMac. Now JJ Redick may be there when we pick because he has a lot of question marks, he definitely fills a need but do we want him?

There's no way of knowing that. We would be at a mathematical disadvantage, but we might snag the #1 just like we did with Yao. If I remember correctly that year we were due to pick quite late in the lottery until Stevie showed up wearing his lucky suit.

maybe its just cause I'm very distraught at hearing about TMac. I just don't see the ROx going ver far in the playoiffs if we get there with TMac in such an iffy spot healthwise. I still want the guys to play hard, but at this point, I'd rather we tank, and not pressure TMac to come back if we somehow backdoor into the #8 spot. Hopefully next year, with a high pick on board, we will have a solid #3 guy or potentially #2 depending on TMac's health (BTW, u don't know how much that killed me to type that sentence), and that will make us contenders for the duration of Yao's prime (and hopefully TMac's, nce he gets over these health issues, HOPEFULLY)
