Lost is coming back on thursday January 31, 8/7 central with a 2 hour premier and I can not freaking wait. I just started watching Lost 2 weeks ago and thanks to abc.com i was able to watch all three seasons with HD streaming for free. And all i have to say is wow, this without a doubt the best show on television, the only other show that can compare is 24. The lost season 3 finale was simply amazing and left me with many questions that i hope can get answered soon like: Who is Niaomi really working for, if not for penny, not for the others, and are they a threat? Could she be working for penny’s dad or dharma or could they be the same thing? If Ben is telling the truth about Niaomi’s people, will the losties join the others? How did Jack and Kate get off the island, who else left with them, and how ahead in the future does it happen, do they just leave when Niaomis people arrive, or way into the future? Why does Jack want to go back to the island? Who is in the coffin? Ben, Locke, Michael, someone else? Who is Jacob, and why did he ask Locke to help him? Can Juliet be trusted? Can Locke be trusted? How are there two Oceanic 815 flights, one that supposedly crashed and was discovered with no survivors? Is that related to time travel? Is Jacks dad still alive? Because of the writers strike, they currently only have 8 episodes produced out of the 16 planned.
I can't wait for Thursday.......the phone will be off and the T.V. will be on ABC......I'm a LOST fanatic.......
I'd rather watch a full season of episodes. All this crap about delaying to January so no re-runs and we only get 8 episodes. Excuse me...but that sucks. Same goes for 24.
Hopefully, the WGA and executives come up with an agreement. I would hate for the original story of season 4 (or the entire Lost series for that matter) be altered just because they didn't finish making the rest of the season. Lost season 4 is poised to be a good one. All the questions asked by the thread starter should be answered in this coming season. January 31st seems to be a busy day for me as I have an interview that morning, and 2 hours of Lost later on.
Co-sign. me and my wife wait until the seasons are over for all the series' that we watch (24, LOST, prison break, etc) then watch them all at once. we sometimes watch 2 eps of the previous season just to catch up what we might have forgotten. LOST seems to have the longest commercial breaks in any tv show, i dont know if its true or that it just feels that way.
Replying despite thread redundancy for the questions in the initial post. Not using spoiler tags since nothing I'm going to say is known fact, just my speculation. Very likely Dharma, though not a Dharma from our current time or "our Earth" (note the phone she had that was futuristic). In either case, her people want the island for selfish ends. I expect a splintering of the groups. Locke seems like he'll take over leadership from Ben. Once Dharma lands they'll probably face a choice of an escorted exit or to stay with the Others to force Dharma off the island a second time (probable slaughter). Dharma probably was happy to scoot them home, though "home" won't necc be the one they left originally. He realized he f***ed up big time handing the island over to Dharma. "survived by son" was allegedly part of the obit. That said, it seems to be unanswerable at the moment. Could very well be someone we haven't met yet. The spiritual embodiment of the island? I think Locke may be the only one that he can communicate to (Ben fakes it to maintain leadership). I believe yes on both counts, though both have needed to fully get their heads around whats really going down. Both got played pretty well by Ben. Multiverse theory. No. The island's security system, Smokey the monster, can mentally read people and assume the appearance and partial memories of people in their past. Jack's dad, Hurley's Dave, Sayid's cat, Locke's dad, Eko's brother, Walt, etc - all Smokey manifestations and almost always looking to lead them to their death. Think Pennywise the clown from IT. LOST seems to pull HEAVILY from Stephen King, in small ways (planting the books), in superficial nods (the hatch in S1 ~ Tommyknockers), and in major ones. The show's big question (what is the island) seems to be answered as The Dark Tower. A Nexus of the multiverse, with portals that can open to different versions of Earths and different "whens." The island is its own world (Desmond's inability to sail away) but has invisible pinholes in fixed positions (Ben's specific course heading to get Michael off) that can get you in or out. The drug plane that took off from Africa? No chance it flew all the way to the Pacific Isles. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty certain. Evan
yes im ready havent ever watched any on tv. i watched them all after last season finished on my pc. now i get to see the commercials and everything
Anyone else pumped about the best drama on TV coming back in a few days? It's been along time since the Flashforward Season Finale, so lets get it going!!!!!
I'm curious to see, since we're now entering the 2nd half of the 6 season length of the series, if all the flashbacks will now be flashforwards like in the season 3 finale.
BTW, be sure to check out Lost: Missing Pieces at: http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/missingpieces/index These are recently filmed scenes that fit randomly into the story dating all the way back to season one. For example, theres a scene of when Jack met Ethan and knowing what we know now, we can see the hidden meanings in Ethan's words.
From what I understand, they will be mixed in, we'll see both used. My biggest concern is that because of the strike, S4 will be abruptly cut off midstream with that 8th episode. That's going to suck. Evan
Season 3 FINALLY answered so many questions - every episode was great. I was getting frustrated with more questions, more questions, more questions. I think I need to watch all 3 seasons again, but when the hell am I going to find time to do that?
I can't wait for this...IS this an entire season or just a half season due to the strike...Either way, I'm looking forward to it..
For those that like the show and own a XBOX 360, I just saw they are releasing a LOST game next month. You play as a new character who's story runs parallel to the events of the first two seasons but has his own story arch. Apparently, you'll come across people and places not seen until season 3 of the show. Looks pretty interesting. Not sure how good it will actually be but you guys should check it out. http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/829/829060/vids_1.html
