*response...... I guess I spent too much time typing my response. When I was done I clicked submit and it returned me to the log in page. Is there a way to get back what I wrote, which came in the form of a pop up? Cookies? Please help, it took me 2 hours to write.

Did you click BACK or "refresh" at all on the window?

If so, then you won't be able to get it. If "back", then there might be a way, but if "refresh", then no. Or maybe it's the other way around...

Sent you an email, sir. Check your messages.

I just clicked submit and that pop up window went to a log-in page when I logged in it said something like you can't log in here and to restart my browser? There was no back or refresh on the message pop up

Ouch. If you're using the latest version of Mozilla, maybe you could check the History -> Recently Closed Windows list and see if it is in there. Other than that...you might be out of luck.

I usually make a copy of text before I send it or write my text in a notepad session and then pasting it. I don't trust internet connections to always transfer messages properly.

edit: Do you still have the popup window open? If so, right-click and see if it gives you a dropdown menu with the option to go Back.

Your session timed out. Nowadays, school-related sites have session timeouts to protect themselves and students from loss of data and to prevent you leaving your desk to have someone take over as you on the same computer (whether it is at the library or at your house).

You can always go BACK with backspace or ALT+Left_Arrow if you don't have the BACK button, and similarly ALT+Right_Arrow if you don't have the Forward arrow. You can refresh or reload (although I cannot know if the server or browser you are using would have already flushed your session, and don't recommend it) with F5 or CTRL+R.

If that there window where it asked you to sign in is still up, don't refresh, just click on an empty area of the page and right-click, see if "back" is available, and choose it, or do "backspace" or the combination above to go to your previous page. Do NOT refresh your previous page.

On ClutchFans, you can always return to your posts if you were to lose what you were typing for any reason or if you go "forward" by clicking on any other link on the page. This is a function of the browser with the server, so I am not sure you could do that on the server you're using.

    Good luck with BACK.

Taking heed most definitely.............I run mozilla and opened up all previously open windows(8) and none of them were my response just this one was related to my response:
    Error: Session Already Running

You cannot use this method to open a new browser window while logged in to the Learning System. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer on Windows, to run the Learning System in multiple browser windows, you must open a new instance of the browser and log in.

If you believe you have received this message in error, please restart your browser and try again.

 FYI, you can do most of the stuff you can do in a regular window in one without the toolbar by using key a combination, unless the web designer is really EVIL and thought was smart and disabled only the key combination but not the right-click context menu :

    ALT+Home_key = loads home page
ESC = stops loading the page
    CTRL+T = gets new tab
CTRL+P = brings up the Print
    SHift+F10 = brings up the right-click context menu ;)

    I don't think so, sir.

HEY! HEY! I'm over here. Listen... LISTEN! DO I have your attention? OK! Now...

Send a very very nice (but not begging) email to the school's administrator of the server you're on, let them know what happen.

I doubt anything can be done, but I never lose hope and will try anything to get something really worth it. Wouldn't hurt.

I think that in the time you've posted here a few responses and have done a few other things, you could have already typed that response again on Notepad. ;)

I am at home with comcast and a linksys wireless router. I use mozilla. Starting to think it is futile and to go ahead and not waste time on here when I could be writing it again. I will check periodically if anybody could tell me how to get my text back, but I digress.

Damn it Swoly. You ruined my intuition. I am writing it over as I type, but damn it I linked sources and life experiences related to those sources....oh well, that'll teach me to trust a server or connection again

Here you go Swoly: Was told to take a parental survey. Followed by 4 questions about my opinions on the subject in relation to what we learned already. Look at the bold portion of my opinion. I may have raised the bar with the self quote :)

    Letter Score
    A 3= Permissive
    B 0= Authoritarian
    C 16= Authoratative

I want to start off saying that the parental type test could be manipulated
into the parent I most wanna be(I don't have any kids). With that said, I
would be an "authoritative" parent with a little mix of the two others.
My mom was a classic permissive parent as she got sole custody of me after
losing custody of my older half-brother. She held me and consoled me too
    much and I got everything I wanted,within economical reason(we we're poor I remember
having fake Deion Sanders shoes in elementary).Although her heart was in the
right place her parental education was bound. It took a lot of time and introspection
on my part to get past[joking]The statute of limitations[/joking] my disregard
for authority figures, my selfishness, and having to be the center of attention.
Which is to say my nature overcame my nurture through means of my thought process.
Why make a hurdle higher? Good parental guidance especially in early childhood is
a key that is molded for the lock of life.
    Exceptions,exceptions.
You could still see me checking for the latest conspiracy theories!
I have a friend who had Authoritarian parents. She was shown actual whores as a young
girl and was told that if she didn't act in the way they wanted her to she would
become the w****. To this day this belief system is ingrained in her. She is ignorant
on a wide variety of topics because of this. She even feels nauseous every time she sees
or hears about genitals. I don't think that is a normal, balanced life. Question 3 has
so many variables that I have trouble juggling them all in my head. I would just say that
the parent-child relationship should be one of trust, compromise, and safety rules(speaking
of infants). Sibling-sibling relationships should be built off of the parents' willingness to
instill the same levels of compromise, trust, and love in their relationships. As far as
having both parents, I feel cheated that my father wasn't around(left when I was an infant).
I believe I have missed so many moments, past, present, and future without my dad. I missed
the speeches, having a confidant, having a hero. To this day I still struggle to have male
friends, not that he is to blame, but I believe it could've helped. I digress. Day-care/non
parental care is something not really left in the air. Let's just say a reason that I'm
learning spanish right now to teach my kid(s) multiple languages. So it goes without saying
that I will look for a day-care/non-parental guidance that will stimulate my childs' mind and
    body.
In conclusion, as long as you love the child unconditionally and are parent-ally educated your child
"should" grow up to be a functionally independent adult. Hopefully a better you. That's all that
    we want right?

Whoa whoa whoa. It is not the server, router, or connection's fault. You took too long editing your text, sir. A website is not a word processor. That's like Venus Williams cursing at the line judge because she couldn't beat Kim convincingly. ;)

That sucks but copying before you submit is an important lesson to learn. Doubt you'll let this happen to yourself again.

I always copy everything before I submit.
