I really don't care all that much, I just wanna root for my favorite team and not think about politics.
Los Rockets is just too close to Lost Rockets and the way many slur their words these days.......who knows.......!! That aside, The Club is the Houston Rockets- no change needed , that is how it is known throughout the Planet!
Man I'll root ANY team with a "Los" in front of their names! the NBA sure got it this time! I'm a converted NBA fan! Yeeaaaahh!
I would be disappointed and a little annoyed, but it wouldn't change the way I root for my team. Leave politics out of sports. Sports is often what we use to get away from the day-to-day politics and frustrations with life. Keep in mind that there are people/opinions on both sides of this subject. It amazes me (but doesn't surprise me) that there is such outrage. The US already has laws concerning illegal immigration...they just aren't enforced.
We just need some new uniforms. Lets stop picking at details of Rockets vs. Los Rockets. Hay problemas! The pajamas = terrible Chinese take-out = terrible something new! porfavor!
It wouldnt hurt my perception of the team that much. Since it'd be just a single instance thing. I dont think the club will get on the front line of the protest movements or anything, actively involved in the issue start to finish. Signing Kelvin Cato to a big money contract would still be worse.

Yeah, these jerseys have been around for a while. If the Rockets were to wear them, it wouldn't necessarily mean that they're voicing any political views. Either way, It doesn't really matter what jerseys they're wearing.
bulls and spurs both wore the "los" versions of their uni's last year and I think this year..and t he heat wear their "el heat" the last few years also...suns doing it today just happens to coincide with cinco de mayo as well as the law thing.
You know, I am not as annoyed when it is a crass marketing ploy to try to ingratiate themselves with the largest minority group in the US .. as I am when some idiot gets a bug up his anoos about trying to make some kind of a brain-dead political 'statement'.
