It's awesome! It was just tooooo expensive for me... I am pumped! Hit me up Clutchfans maybe we can go questing I am starting up a new character now!
If it's like the pay'd version. I played that back when it was in beta testing. It was fun. I just stopped playing it only because I am against having to pay monthly for a game. (anti xbox live....mmorpg fees...etc.)
Definetly. I wonder if my old account still exists....I couldn't use my user name....which I seriously doubt someone else has. If they do...wow. Let me know your name...and I'll add you when I have it running. 3hrs left on the download....10,448MB LOL.
Haha yeah mine is taking a while to, but I should be on in the next 15 minutes. I think I might have some old stuff on there, but I am just going to start fresh. Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves or Men?
do we have to choose a server? Make sure you choose a good one...and let us know which one. I'll have to look at it to decide which race. I feel like a nerd.
Never tried it, but will check it out, thanks. Only at 550 KB/s One indirect benefit of paid-to-play is a better overall gameplay environment.
Ya, I'm only getting 580-790Kbps....bah. True. But I just can't justify paying a monthly fee that ends up making 1 game cost potentially over $100.
I have the discs and this is taking forever to download... About a million updates... I am starting to get a bit worried about what is "Free" exactly... I bought the game a couple years ago, and played it for a month. Am I a premium player? http://www.lotro.com/free.php
it's free but there's some sort of cash shop feature, certain things are only available through the cash shop. fairly standard stuff.
I'm Premium because I paid 20 bucks for the game a while back... Basically, the further you get, you might have to pay to unlock later quests in new areas. It's still a great deal. It says that you can actually build up points and get this stuff without spending a dime, but it would take some MMO style grinding...
Who is down to go kill a million boars in the forest, than have a drink in the prancing pony? Spoiler But seriously...
