and I'll add to that...anyone play the Lord of the Rings game for XBox? It hasn't gotten stellar reviews, but I'm still curious.

At the moment there are 2 LOTR games being released...

    1) The EA Version (PS2, Game Boy Advance). Based on the FOTR and TTT. Official Site Here This one looks to be the best. Really good fight scenes, based on the movies.

    2) The Universal Interactive Studios Version (GBA, XBox, PS2, PC). Official Site Here From what I hear, this one is pretty good, but is more strategy based and 'cartoony'. I.e. finding keys, solving problems etc... Based on the books.

There is also a game based on The Hobbit, I think it's coming to either XBox or GameCube. I saw some screen shots, it looks a lot like Zelda (64 version).

I'll end up getting the EA version probably. It has cut scenes from both Fellowship and Two Towers, plus the music- which is cool!

    XBox- out now

    GBA- out now

    GameCube- 2003

    PS2- out now

    PC- out now

That's taken from the official site...so I presume it is accurate. I'm not sure about International release dates though.

    What? Me?

    ;)

The Fellowship of the Ring is a decent game, it is more puzzle oriented.

The TTT is from EA and is pretty cool the way they weave the movie into the game.

However, if you really want the BEST LOTR game, you will have to wait until March of 2005.

    :D

I have it on XBox. I bought it out of curiosity. I played it for about ten minutes and then had to go mow or something and have not been back to the console. The graphics were pretty good. The game play was ok. I wish it would have had a HALO style of walking around. I'll let ya know later what I think of it.
