I thought I'd get in on the action. I waited for a while though to purposely look like a I am behind on the latest trends. Anyways, My sister is graduating from highschool and the whole family is going up there for the big day. She goes to Miss Porter's School, which gained a little infamy lately since the chick who claimed to have an affair with JFK was a student there. Anyways, I'm leaving June 3rd, she graduates on the 6th, and we get back on the 8th. It's an all girls school by the way. Hmmm, highschoolers... Please don't ask me for pics, sickos.
Im getting married next year at the Farmington Club and staying at the Farmington Inn. Check these places out and report back asap (Especially if they have shag carpets and wood panel walls).
Holy crap, Oski -- your sister goes to Miss Porter's?? That school is legendary as the uppermost of the upper-crust. A lot of famous (as well as infamous) women have graduated from there. Very impressive. Anyway, have fun in Connecticut ... if that's possible.
Yeah, she goes there on a scholarship from the Better Chance program if I'm not mistaken. Thank you Oprah. This was all possible because she went to a school in Houston called KIPP Academy, I'm sure some of you here have heard or read about it. Anyways, she's going to SMU in the fall, if any of you BBS guys go there, stay away from my sister... j/k
Oski, since I am lazy, can you tell me what Miss Porter's is in more detail? Just curious. Uhhh, have fun in Connecticut. Oh, and you gonna be around this summer? Do you ball at the rec?
Apparently, if you mess around with the girls from Ms. Porter's, they have been trained to beat you to death with big sticks.
I was going to give you a hard time as I thought you were a blue blood. My sister got a scholorship from the Better Chance Program and she went to St. Johns here in Houston. I didn't know they gave scholorships to boarding schools. Once again, thanks Oprah.
Man...it's pretty there this time of year. You'll probably fly into Hartford (the airport is a dump). I'd get a convertible. I always flew southwest to Hartford, and I rented my car from Alamo (through Southwest's website when I made my flight reservations). They were the cheapest, and I just got a mid-size. The would ALWAYS upgrade me to the convertible for 10 bucks a day at the counter. You could drive down to NYC in just about three hours from there, and if you take the Merritt (15 instead of 95), it's a REAL pretty drive. Make sure you have a bagel...they're the best of there.
