I had an incredible two weeks reaquainting myself with my home country, the Land Down Under. I didn't want to go home, and the return flight was nightmarish. It came complete with crappy food, heavy turbulence, and hallucinations. Oh well, I guess two weeks of severe substance abuse will do that to you. But I do hate flying, as a rule. To top that off, a customs agent in Canada (of all places) pulled me aside. He proceeded to search through every inch of my luggage, before taking me to a back room and threatening me with a strip-search. He thought I was a dope smuggler. I suppose that last joint at the airport must have given me a particular odor. Of course, I am not a smuggler, so I eventually convinced him to waive the clothing-removal procedure, and I was on my way. Sydney is one of, if not the most beautiful and interesting cities in the world. I had forgotten. I'm tempted to move back, but what would I do without NBA League Pass?
I would not be surprised if this thread was closed due to the thread title. Good to see you had a good time. Did you take pictures during your trip? What's up with all that drug abuse?
The term "drug abuse" is an exaggeration. I just had a good time during my stay, and a hangover on the plane. Yes I took pics, but I've been too jet lagged to scan them onto the computer yet. Anyway, photos don't do Australia justice. You have to be there.

Sounds like you had a great trip. That's one place I've never been... there and New Zealand. Give us a "report" when you've decompressed. Glad you're back!
