I was hoping I could find some assistance here, and I wasn't sure if it was suitable to place this here or in the classifieds.

My cousin broke up with his girlfriend and now has nowhere to keep his pet ball python (1 year old, one and a half feet long, one mouse a week). His parents won't take care of it and I can't really take care of it either. He is in the Marines and he ships back off to training within a week.

Would anyone be interested in it? I don't know how long he will be out of state for, so it may be a long term commitment.

Any help or advice to other places that would take it are appreciated.

Release it at some wildlife refuge, somewhere good and warm.

Don't do this. People doing this is why the government has restricted pythons.

Are you asking for someone to take it and keep it? Or foster care?

Confusing since you said could be a long time commitment.

    I hope this is sarcasm.

I'd rather make it into boots first.

The bayou might be a decent environment for it

Sorry guys I was being sarcastic, I was at Armond bayou a few years ago and took a picture of a guy with an African rock python. I didn't think about it at the time but if they start popping up I'm turning the pic in. It was his pet, I don't like the idea of a snake large enough to eat humans. Snakes creep me out.
