I'm moving into an apartment this semester in Austin and I need these stuff: These items I am willing to splurge on: 1. Nice wooden computer desk 2. Mattress (queen) These items I want cheap: 1. TV stand for 32'' tube tv 2. Couch/futon/sofa bed 3. Round Kitchen table Could yall point me in the direction of some good stores that sell these following items or if you are looking to sell yourself.
When I moved into my college apartment, I got most of my stuff at Target or Wal-Mart. Wal-Marts tend to be dumps in Texas, so I would probably stick with Target. They have a decent futon there for pretty cheap. Look for the one with wooden arm rest, not the crappy little one. They also have a lot of very cheap TV stands ranging from 10-65 bucks. They have some sets of tables and chairs too for around $60 but I think they are mostly square tables. Costco also has some good futons for cheap, they might have some round tables there too if I remember correctly. But all these places have more stuff closer to when school starts
Is it just me or does this guy have his priorities wrong. A nice couch is far more important than a nice computer desk. I use a table I got from pier one imports as my computer desk and have had this one for over 10 years. It probably cost less than 200 bucks. Spend a grand on a good sofa from thomasville or something. Trust me, for a floor model a grand will get you a 1500 dollar sofa. Worry about the rest later on. Well, the bed is also important.
roommate already has a good couch. just getting a 2nd one. the stuff listed above is the stuff i need to get.
I may possibly be moving soon and looking to unload a lot of furniture. I have a 3-seat black leather couch and a matching 2-seat couch as well. If I end up selling them (will know next week), I'd probably ask for $200 for both or $125 for each. I don't know if that is in your price range, but if you're interested, let me know through the board.
I don't know how "nice" it is since it's a fair bit beat up at this point, but I've got computer desk I'm trying to get rid of (plywood w/ birch veneer, along with matching rolling storage drawers if you want 'em).
its in my range. its a matter of if me and my roommate like it or not. my email is armyman7894@yahoo.com if you can send some pictures
Hit up a Store like Staples. They have great deals right before back to school on furniture. I know the store here has a bunch of stuff on clearance (desks and shelves). I bought my desk from Walmart, and I love it.
im getting almost everything there. the stuff i have mentioned are the stuff that ikea does now have good items.
