I currently own and use a Nokia N-Gage QD. It has been a good phone but this is more for people who want gaming and a phone all in one and more in games than the simple ones that usually come on cell phones. I want a phone that has a camera and hopefully and mp3 player too, neither of which the QD has. I was looking at getting a Nokia 3660 which not only plays mp3s and has a camera but also has video capture as well. Video capture is not a must but I heard the 3660 takes quality pictures, for a cell phone at least but quality pictures isn't really a must either. It doesn't have to be the newest phone out there but I would like it to be pretty up to date. So what kind of cell phones do you have and what would you recommend me getting if I am looking for a camera phone?
I'm going to get the Moto Razr v3 soon hopefully. They have finally started to drop in price after retailing for 500.
HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PHONE! It's the coolest thing I have ever seen. everything about this thing is amazing.
I had Nokia 3660 for a year now, and it has been great. It's the cheapest smart phone out there (I even got $200 cash back after all those rebates). There are so many 3rd party softwares you can use to make this phone much more powerful. Beside the regular phone functions, I also uses it as a game boy and a portable video player. But I have to remind you that even though Nokia 3660 can be a MP3 player through 3rd party software, you can only listen to it with a earphone, which only has one channel.
I sell the Motorolla V3 in Silver for ($529 CDN) and in Black ($559 CDN) taxes included and lil pun i recommend the Samsung D500 phone if you want a good camera...it has a flash too...though if you wait a month a 5 megapixel phone is coming out!!..though it would be expensive ....the D500 can be got for under $500 CDN ...
Not much, 3660 has a better key layout. One thing you have to consider is that your N-Gage is a smart phone as well, and it has a stereo mp3 output. So if you choose 3660, you will have to give up mp3 function to get the camera function.
Actually with the QD, Nokia did away with the mp3 player for more powerful game play and to bring down the price for the consumer. I can get a 3650 for a little less than 3660 so I am leaning towards it right now.
If you can get out of your current contract and sign a new one with Cingular Wireless, you can get a Nokia 6620 for least than 30 bucks here: http://www.specials.intelenetwireless.com/
I need a new phone as well. I'll be signing a new contract with Cingular and will probably use grad money to pay for the phone, so I'm willing to splurge. I want small, lots of functions, but not too many(No video game/MP3 capabilities) and preferrably a slider/flip...Any suggestions?
I've had the razr for two weeks now. It's easily the best phone I've ever had. Only cingular offers the razr, and that is for $200.00 for a two year contract and $250.00 for a one year contract.
I just got my friend the Razr for about 30 dollars after a 2 yr contract. And the only bad thing about the razr is the big oll usb port, and the size when its on its side. A little slider with most of the functions of the 6600 would be the d415 with tmobile, but it has no bluetooth. A small phone with tons of functions including video and bluetooth is the v551, which i am currently using. its a flip, and is pretty nice, only thing that sucks is its memory and the fact that its a motorolla. The LG A7110 is nice, but no bluetooth. (slider) with cingular and you have a Samsung P777 which is a little larger slider with cingular, but has an awesome video recorder. The Motorola A630 is a nice full keyboard phone that has bluetooth and camera capabiliaties. Its pretty small and it has a bigggg screen. (with tmobile)
I got my phone on a one year contract. You have to wait six months for the rebate and you have to sign a two year contract with A1 wireless. After having the phone for a couple of weeks, I don't think it will last more than a year for me.
I never buy the phone with a contract. You only end up saving about $100 and that isnt worth being locked into a year or two. I just bought a Siemens SX66 Pocket PC Phone this weekend. It is hella sweet and I love it. It doesnt have a camera but I hardly ever used it anyway.
