I am interested in getting a Motorola RAZR (Cosmic Blue) from Cingular wireless. Just curious if any of you have a RAZR phone and what are the pros and cons.
I have the black one. Earpiece volume was too low, fixed with easy hack you can find on the net. Besides that phone works great. Menu is a little slow. I heard that is fixable too but the hack was a little too advanced for me.
I really want a RAZR too, but what I heard is that the battery sucks and if you have tmobile, you drop calls. But it still so thin!
Cingular has a new Razr out that will play mp3's. I saw it on the cingular site. I've got a Sony Ericsson w600i and I love it. Since this phone Cingular has two other Ericsson phones that will play mp3's. I'm going to end up looking into getting one or the other. The one thing I hate about Motorola phones is that they all have pretty much the same software installed. It seems like once you've had one phone you've had them all.
I like the new Nokia that is out that slides up, I think that same phone was on the matrix. I want it, but it is like $500.
My wife has a Razr and, yes, it has very short battery life and she has already broken two of them. They do look cool, though...
I have the razor v3 for cingular and it sucks. The volume is too low. The screen blanks out once in a while. Sound quality is poor. Photo quality is poor. I have one other friend who also has the v3 and he has the exact same problems.
I decided against the RAZR, quality seemed pretty low. The TMobile guys talked me out of one. Got the V360 instead. Now I'm looking ot get a Blackberry. Anyone know where I can get one with a color screen that handles email for a low price?
I got my 2 free T-Mobile RAZRs (one for me and one for the lady) through these guys... http://wirefly.com I think they still have that offer (or at least a similar one) going now. Haven't had any serious problems yet, but then again... it's only been 2 months.
Well, I had the Nokia 6102 for the past 6 months. The darn thing kept getting scratched up and dinged. It finally died (the antenna fell off), so I grabbed one of my friend's extra Motorola V330. I still haven't figured out everything on that one yet.
I've had my RAZR V3 for 17 months now. The battery life had been incredible, but as of 1 month ago, it's gone to crap. But hey, 16 months of 2-day-battery-life was solid for the price. I've dropped it a million times, never stopped working. It got hit by a softball, and that finally cracked the front screen a little...but still works great.
The menu on the RAZR can get ridiculously slow when you throw too much data at it. Slow enough to piss you off.
