I'm watching some of the games I've got on DVR & I've got this game in which Mavs came out hot, but Rox lead by end of 1st after being down by 9.

Yao is still out & Bonzi is playing.

But, I'm thinking about all the things I've been reading about us for the upcoming season. How no one can create their own shot w/o the help of T-Mac.

In this game, Alston hitting off the dribble, Head hitting off the dribble & the head fake, dunk on Nowitski (love it!). All those plays were created by themselves. Granted, this is a small sample size, but daggum, it just don't seem to match what the critics are saying WHOLEY.

We're up 41-34 w/1:39 left & Bonzi at the line.

dude it's ONE game. they're NBA players. they don't suck that bad. but look at how dallas guarded tmac at the end of the game by basically doubling him at half-court and none of our guys knew what to do w/ the ball. don't let a sample size of a half or a few games blind you. none of our players outside of tmac could consistently create from the perimeter.

but when you have a guy who has a 32.9 usage rating, accounts for ALL but 8-9 baskets in 2 of the playoff games, that's why critics say that.

We lost by 3 points. Much like Game 7, it really boiled down to a couple of possessions that really could've changed the final outcome.

T-Mac missed 4 of 5 FTs from the 3rd on. I think he was forcing the action in the 3rd & let up some. We missed tons of easy shots & Dirk was insane.

I don't think it is as bad as the critics make it out to be. I hope that Adelman's offense will infuse some life.

Was that in Houston or dallas? Despite our loss, the game we went to in dallas was a blast.

me too and it didnt suck for me. I was talkin crap about dallas, even when we lost too...

They dont know about basketball, before the mark cuban era began in dallas. We stood up the whole game right in front of them.

What I hate about Dallas fans, they cheer after every shot, every freethrow, and every call that goes for them. They'll cheer a made freethrow like it was the biggest freethrow in franchise history....

I was at the game too & sat right behind a guy replacing Marv Albert & Steve Kerr. I could be seen on National TV. There was a hot blonde sitting next to me & was talking to me, real friendly. I was getting a text message from my fiance asking "who's the blonde you're talking to?"

I can't wait to go see some more games in those seats.

Sounds like the annoying red-rowdies to me. It's funny how nobody has a problem with them.

Haha he's right. Red Rowdies could use a practice or two also. Powerdancers complained that they couldn't understand their chants because they weren't together.

I was sitting courtside at that game right behind the Rockets bench...check me out in the bright green polo...made sure to stand out for TNT haha. Rockets put together one hell of an effort without Yao.

I'm still convinced we would've won any matchup with Dallas last year in the playoffs, just heartbreaking, the road would've been paved for our 'ship. Phoenix was the only team I felt could beat us and they got rolled out, can't help but think it was a huge missed opportunity. Too bad for everybody else in the West we upgraded the roster this year...watch out.

Yeah, I understand that, but what is LAYGO trying to get at? That our off-season changes really won't make us that much better because we already had people who could create their own shot last year?

I watched just about every single Rockets game the last two seasons, and I can tell you it is absolutely laughable to say that Alston's ability to score is anywhere NEAR the level of James, Francis, Bonzi, or even Scola.
