I'm no NBA player expert, and only watch Rockets games, so I have no clue here. I'm a Rockets only fan. I'd like to hear from those of you who watch these guys play, and hear what your thoughts are, and how you'd rank them today.

Not going through them all, but here is my top five as of today, although I believe Jalen will rise to at least 3 by next year.

    Alpi
    Wagner
    Mobley
    Barnes
    Green

    1) Alperen Sengun
    2) Franz Wagner
    3) Jalen Green
    4) Scottie Barnes
    5) Evan Mobley

Top 5 easy and I think Jalen, Mobley and Barnes are interchangeable based on team need. The top 2 are pretty firm. The Top 4 for me can be the centerpieces of an offense and serviceable to plus defenders. Mobley is a limited offensive player and will be an issue as he doesn't have passing or outside shooting.

    6) Josh Giddey
    7) Cade Cunningham
    8) Herb Jones
    9) Cam Thomas
    10) Quentin Grimes

Rounding out the top 10. Cade is the only one that is questionable to even be here after this year. Can't shoot, can't collapse a defense and highest turnover % in the league. Was supposed to be Kirkland's Brand Luka but he's more like taller Ty Lawson. His older cousin is his personal trainer so....yeah. All in all it's been a pretty disappointing draft class and if it wasn't for Sengun it's be a bust of a draft class considering its hype.

You guys have Franz way higher than me. Franz has actually regressed a lot this year ... he is one of the least efficient players in the NBA at 51% TS.
For me it's Sengun, Barnes, Jalen, Mobley, Franz, Cade, the rest. I can't judge Cam because the sample size is too small, but he has a chance to move up the list for me.

Why is everyone so high on Wagner? He’s only averaging 19 points, he’s shooting .27 from 3, his TS% is .52, and his defensive rating is similar to Green’s (108 v. 100).

    1. Alp - He'll give Maxey a run for his money for MIP this year.
    2. Barnes - His improved 3-point shots are huge.
    3. Mobley - His defense is legit.
    4. Franz - If his 3-points percentage didn't drop this year, he could rank higher than fourth.
    5. J Green - His defense has been improving. Efficiency is still an issue, which set him back as a shooting guard.

Top 2 is a lock to me. The third year leap from Alp and Barnes are obvious.

    6. Cade - His stats are fine, albeit his TOV is a bit high.
    7. Giddey - He can't buy a basket to save his life.

Others are career role players. Nothing to write home about.

So? We are also high on JGreen who did not have a double-double yet.
Franz stats: 19.5 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 3.2 apg, 12.7 PIE
Jalen stats: 19.6 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 2.9 apg, 11.0 PIE

If we don't value Franz as a top prospect, where will be JGreen on the list?

Green and Franz are somewhat similar in my eyes. Both, currently, are a tier below Scottie and Sengun. I personally have Green a notch higher than Franz because I think Green as the ability to be the #1 scoring option on a good team, whereas Franz is better suited as a #2 option.

Franz is co-running the starters which Jalen Green is not.......so IMO he is shouldering more load and responsibilities...he was also struggling in the first 6-8 games scoring wise.

    1. Sengun
    2. Barnes
    3. Wagner
    4. Green
    5. Cade

I know Cade is having a down year, but his rookie year showed me how high his potential really is. Mobley OTH gets so much slack playing with 3 all stars. He can do his thing on defense and be 4rth option on offense that's why he looks a lot better than Cade who actually is playing with no shooters or spacers. If they were both playing with 3 all stars that tailor to their skillets I'm sure Cade would look a lot better than Mobley. Cade is kinda in the same situation as Green was his rookie year that's why he looks so bad, before he had guys who knew what they were doing like Bogdonovich and Jeremy Grant now it's all rookies and guys who can't shoot.

Cade’s rookie year, when he had a .504 TS%? Cade has always been massively overrated. He’s an overrated checker and his team has always sucked.

He can play make and had solid defense his rookie year. Mobley just dunks and gets layups thanks to getting set up by Garland. You can find guys who can defend and can't score pretty easily for vet min-mid level, 6'6 playmaker like Cade still in high demand.

Everyone has "wishful thinking". Hope JGreen becomes better player than Franz.

Banchero having 19.8 ppg and Franz 19.5. The beauty of being a good team is sharing points/rebs/assists/... in a healthy way. Otherwise we get Westbrook type of empty-stats guys.

Right now, I would rank them:
    1. Sengun
    2. Barnes
    3. Mobley
    4. Wagner
    5. Giddey
    6. Green
    7. Cunningham

The rest are non-starters. Don't care as much.
