lol.. I was just browsing through the site and happened to land on this page.

    Clutchfans Draft Coverage

    Things have really changed since..

    lol

    1. Rudy Gay
Still my number 1 choice for Houston, but he won't be around at no. 8. Just an amazing physical talent.
    2. Brandon Roy
Solid in all facets and absolutely fills the biggest current need of the Rockets.
    3. Ronnie Brewer
Carney's measurements came in smaller and Brewer's athleticism higher than both were expected.
    4. Randy Foye
I think Brewer is more of what they need now, but Foye would provide toughness and a true third-scorer.
    5. Shelden Williams
Really has moved up the charts - could be a great low post intangibles guy for the Rockets.

Just a funny thread, nothing biggie.

Rudy did drop to 8, what a surprise. Everyone was shocked when he did because he was the consensus #1 pick for most of the year until UConn got beat by George Mason. That draft was full of surprises. Shelden Williams gets drafted at #3 (i think) by Atlanta, LOL!! Brewer was a good pickup for the Jazz. Foye hasn't lived up to his hype (some called him the next Dwade) and Brandon Roy has emerged as the #1 talent in that year's draft. Everyone was pretty much shocked when Gay fell to us and then we ended up trading him away for Battier

I was thinking brewer all the way, then when Gay fell, I was like wow!. Then when reports came out the rockets were drafting and trading him for battier, I thought we were getting their pick for next year or something. Then when they gave the details, I just poured me about 6 oz glass of Grey Goose, drank it, and went to bed.

I was happy about the trade just because I knew coming in the draft Rudy Gay was overrated. In college this guy never brought it every night so I knew he wouldn't do it in the NBA and he proved me right. Also it was a great trade because we weren't a rebuilding team and plus Gay wouldn't have really seen the floor that much I believe

We should have planed early enough if we really wanted Roy. We knew he would shine but we did nothing to get him. I blame this on JVG!

I was wrong about Shelden Williams too. I figured he would evolve into an Antonio Davis-type player with great durability. Needless to say, that's not quite the case. I still find it hard to process the fact that he sucks so bad.

If the Rockets were in the top 3, I think they "reach" (at the time to the experts) on B. Roy.

i wonder what are the chances of rox signing roy in the 2010 offseason. Having him along with our PGs will meant a solid backcourt for the next 5-7 years.

We were actually planning on picking up Roy but Minnesota and Blazers screwed us up by making the trade. Man how good Roy would have looked in Rockets?

Not likely. Roy is king in Portland and they have a real good young team that he wants to lead. I dont see any reason why he leaves. Oh ye, they also have an owner who is willing to literally throw dollars away to put a championship calliber team on the floor, so im guessing he wont mind spening somd dosh on Roy.

Roy has everything going for him in Portland, he aint going anywhere.

Hey now, without Novak that 22 game win streak never happens. It would have ended against Sacramento.

I think. My memory isn't what it used to be.
