This gave me the chills. We all know it, but do we really? But everyone should watch this, we're all guilty of this to some extent. But to each their own, I guess... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Z7dLU6fk9QY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
God, I hate this thing so much, and I hate how everyone is dick riding it. There are so many problems with it. Firstly, it's cliched as ****! It's a message that's been spouted a lot. Secondly, who are they to tell someone how to live their life or what is an appropriate way to live someone's life. Thirdly, people aren't idiots and that line "smart phones, dumb people" is so ******* ridiculous. This generation is not only wiser, but has a higher rate of finishing high school or university than any other generation. Not to mention the flynn effect! Here's some links on that last para: http://blogs.berkeley.edu/2010/10/2...igent-over-the-generations-how-could-that-be/ This is tripe garbage that people who were too oblivious to realise, think they're being enlightened. News flash! this sort of criticism has been going on for centuries. Fun fact: Socrates disparaged the art of writing, because he thought that people wouldn't retain as much information when they could write it down. He thought everything should be remembered. So, this sort of thing pisses me off, but what really gets my goat are how people are gobbling this up for not only being deep, but insightful. Give me a break. Rant over.
i see what you are saying in a way. but this like most things has a very large grey area. for example parents giving their children an electronic device and day after day not having any meaningful conversation at the dinner table.
For sure my house was like that growing up. Typically we ate on TV treys. I see people when I go out to eat just sitting there looking at their phones, sometimes an entire family that barely even looks at each other.
Sometimes when people I don't like start a conversation with me, I like to ignore them mid-sentence and just look at my phone.
I feel old becuase this has never been an issue for me. Hell, I've even made real life friends on clutchfans.
Oh damn. That's awesome tho. I still haven't been able to make a real friend on clutchfans. Maybe I haven't invested that much time on here? Or maybe you really are super old and have invested a lot of time on here?
Come to the weekend pick up games, breh. I've met several posters years ago through that and even met moes and finals when they were still dating. moes before he was hakeem status.
This video is stupid... it's MUCH easier for friends to stay in touch, gather, and hang out thanks to social media.
Never thought I'd say this, but this is really, really gay. Kids these days, mine included, use phones to meet up with other kids. They can find the answers to questions they wld otherwise forget immediately. Older kids use things like Facebook and tinder to date. Smart phones r amazing and those who think otherwise are really slow and worried about being left behind.
Everyone I know is extremely social, while still using their phones a fair amount. It's extremely practical for my job, keeping in touch with family overseas, and finding out about things I otherwise wouldn't know. But what do I know? I'm just a guy who likes to make out with my girl after she's given me head.
srs? moestavern and finalsbound. Used to be the dynamic couple of CF years ago. Also met other dignitaries such as Kam and Dave2000. We even had a dunk off at the side rims at some court... at the elementary school at San Felipe or something?
I thought it was cool. It's really weird knowing that I'm part of the last generation that remembers life pre-internet (I'm 34...was 17 when the web started to take off).
