I did 40 hours until I slept a little last night for 6 hours and now pulling another work marathon.

Also how long can sleep at one time? I have never gone over 10 hours. When I am really tired (like now) I usually get 1-2 of terrible sleep, wake up for 30 minutes to an hour, then get decent sleep.

Or before when I worked really hard for 2 weeks I got 10 hours, got up for 5 then slept another 9 or so. My friend can sleep for like 20 hours straight if she stayed up working for a long time. I am really jealous.

I pulled an all nighter yesterday. Went and played ball until noon and passed out until 4 or 5. Now it is 3 in the morning in Cali and I am now realizing that my sleep schedule is just awful. I may have to suck it up and pull another all nighter just to get my sleep back on track...
I think my max is 30 hours by the way.... I have done that quite a few times actually.

yeah once you go past 24 it really starts to fade fast. If I was smart I would have shut it down by 35 or so because I doubt I really was helping anything after that.

The most i'm aware of was about 40 hours but that was mainly while I was flying(I can never sleep on planes)... flew from Australia to the US with a connect on the way... then had two domestic flights when I got there and then had to go out to a dinner and drinks once I got to my destination.... those drinks were all Red Bulls and Vodka I remember that. When i was working two jobs for a while last year after I finished my degree I would go 24-30 hours without sleep far too much...really ****ed up sleep schedules, I dont recommend doing it, I ended up getting so sick I had to take 2 weeks off just after I started a new job.

I've done about two days straight when I was partying it up on graduation day going from town to town, party to party a couple years back. I had to work the next the day after too and I couldn't even stand up right. Driving back home wasn't fun either. It felt like I was drunk the whole time but really wasn't. Ended up sleeping in the lunch room and was awakin up by a friend a hour later after she happen to see me KOed on the lunch table. :D After the hour long "break" I felt fresh and went back to work. Never will do it again... lol

A week. Maybe a few 15 minutes of half awake half asleep snoozes in between.

When I was a RPG mania in my teens, I once played for 50 hours straight. Can't do it anymore. Now I need sleep everyday or I would just pass out, probably.

haha thats awesome. i remember when id sleep at an inn, id almost participate myself, watching them snore for 5 seconds before the screen fades out and my characters come back refreshed. hardest part of any rpg marathon.

also i remember when id play for so many hours straight, when i finally did get to sleep my dreams would be all about the game. i had some crazy dreams about duck tales for the NES. why i played it so much, i have no idea. now my dreams are all about work.

what do you guys do that makes you stay awake for days?

I think the longest I went was about 48 hours with no sleep. By about hour 30 sleep deprivation takes over and your mind is jello. This was back in my early 20's when I was partying a lot, so I had "assistance."

This helps to explain your occasional belligerant posting style.

I stayed up about 45 hours straight one time in college, finishing up final projects. And even then had a couple of short naps, then stayed awake the whole next day and even went driving around, visiting people at another college, before I sat down on their bed and collapsed still dreaming of my finals.

That was when I was 19. I couldn't do that anymore. Even when I pull an "all-nighter" now I let myself sleep for an hour, hopefully two. Then the rest of it's not so bad. Even with caffeine there are limits.

During finals stretch of my junior year in college I think I did almost two days. So many of those 5 hour shots.

How do you guys do it? Staying up for 2 days without sleeping?! And this is staying up to work or study too? Wow! You people are amazing. I've never stayed up more than 20 hours, and that wasn't to study... we were camping and had too much fun.

I usually study way before the test day or if I end up cramming, I still make time to get decent sleep. How do you concentrate if you stay up for so long?

    I think probably 40 hours.

Senior year, final assignments. Halo 2 had come out 2 weeks before. Sooo I had to pull a double all-nighter to knock out my final papers.

I think I slept for 18 hours following it.

Almost 48 hours once when I was 20...

I will never do that again. I got sick with flu after that. Now, I need my sleep or I won't function, 7-8 hours of sleep.

3 days... I remember when I went to sleep, that was the best feeling in the world. I ran 3 days straight with coffee, it really was stupid to do, you won't have a worse feeling than to stay awake. It was a great experience to learn, but I don't think I'm ever doing something like that again. Occasionally, I pull a 24-hour day, but I sleep for like 12 hours after then. :D
