I'm sitting here watching the kids in the jacuzzi bathing, cracking up at all the games the boys can make up and play...My favorite so far is "Pretend we are sea monsters and eat all the bubbles...That one lasted about one turn as the 7 year old took in a mouthful of bubbles. The look on his face was priceless...The two year old is looking at me and trying to get the bubbles off his face with a hand covered in bubbles...and the three year old just helped him out by pouring a glass of soapy water over his head...never a dull moment here!!!
My 4YO daughter likes to stand up in the bathtub with one of her squeeze-toys such a a blue whale filled with water and pronounce "... watch me pee like a boy!" She stands with it held by her pubic region and lets rip with a stream of bathwater from the whale's spout.
Yeah, that's a little scary. I forgot to ask, are you fully recovered from the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune? I remember a while back you were wracked with some horrific injuries. I hope you are well.
Scary? Nah, natural curiosity and expressiveness. It's not like she does it every time in the bath; she's done it half a dozen times in her life. Once she even jumped out of the tub and ran over to the toilet to whiz. My knee is doing better; I can walk unaided (no brace and no crutch). I detached my patella tendon and broke the patella on September 15th abruptly derailing my live basketball comeback. The doctor says it will take 6 months + to regain the strength lost in 4 weeks of immobilization. That's what I'm doing these days. Joined a gym and working out 3-5 times a week. Haven't done anything like this in 30+ years. I'm actually starting to enjoy it.
They say average ages for peak "curiousity" is from 4 to 7... then the "cootie phase" sets in until about 12. I'm freaked out right now with my SON just hitting 4!! Sometimes it seems like he's acting like he just noticed his toolbox, and he thinks if he doesn't hold on, it'll all fall off. I worried about after 12 already!
