If the Kings get Ellis... ...then the Kings have it all. But serious, the character of that team is already bad. Why get another questionable player?
He will get around that much. Most likely more. He is in his prime at 27, so now is the perfect time to re-sign and get the worrying of getting injured out of the way. I am sure he will buy into team ball (he averaged 6 APG last season) once he gets paid and does not have to worry about stats. The kings could roll out with this team next season and I think they would be top 10 on offense. That's a step for them. Cousins / Hayes Thompson / Patterson Evans / Salmons Ellis / Thornton Thomas / Douglas / Fredette
I'm betting its a huge disaster if Ellis signs there. Worse than being a deluded cancer, the guy is a hero ball chucker.
I think it all depends on the coach in Sactown, the players have all the talent in the world, they just lack directive and seem to be too focused on their separate basketball identities instead of trying to create a team identity. I know it would never happen but if Phil Jackson was the coach on that team, they would be championship contenders
The more important question is will adding the two black holes of Evans and Ellis form a super black hole?
Have it All by Monta Ellis To be honest... I would Put Myself in the same category as D-wade. I mean At the end of the day, The only thing that he have That I don't is You know... More wins and two championships. That's it. As far as playing - Same level. Competing every night, Both ends. Inside outside... fastbreak... transition... Monta Ellis have it all.
Dear god please let this be true, and get Chuck and PPat out of there (they deserve better). Easily the most dysfunctional team in the NBA already, and then they add Ellis?
