Early? Yes. But how much did Rudy T drill these two basic concepts that continue to lack on the Rocks:

    1) DEFENSE
    2) REBOUNDING

Yea, its early. But early doesn't forgive the fact that Francis continues to be the only one crashing the boards.

"Oh! But Mu! Wait til we get Mo Taylor back! We gonna rebound then!"

Since when is Mo a rebounder? And oh yea. Defense? My fellow Rocktonians, that is an EFFORT you must put out night in and night out.

Hey, I got an instant poll! Who has the better team? The Knicks? Or the Rockets?

Well, before you go standing up with your hand raised to cast your vote like a know it all 5th grader (I should know. I was one.), the Knicks HUSTLE EVERY NIGHT. They lose. But they bust their ass EVERY NIGHT on defense.

And we supposedly have better "talent"? Oh its still "early"?

Yes, it is. I am not talking about the scoring. I am not saying Ming sucks cuz he only scores .3 points per game. I am not saying that turnovers kill us. The fact is that a point guard leads the team in rebounding when you have Griffin, Cato and yea, MING there to at least grab the damn ball. Or is it covered with freakin Mobil One oil like all of last year? This is taught from the early birth of training camp. This is not a "WAY TO EARLY" stat. This is effort. And hustle. And BASIC BALL. BASIC BALL! Just crash the boards! Chris Dudley couldn't put the ball in the Gulf of Mexico but had 10 boards and 3 blocks damn near every night. Griffin can't do that? Cato can't do that? We know Francis can. But no wonder the man gets migraines! He does the work of 3 people damn near every night! I would rather lose 95-88 but challenge every shot, get in the face of players and rebound. Then we can say "Wait til Mo gets back and scoring will pick up"!

Oh, and wait til I start b****ing about Mobleys shooting and his beautiful passes...

    Cat? How about Jack?

Cato's been rebounding pretty well so far. It should be a matter of time be4 steve starts to cool down on his impressive rebounding numbers.

Speaking of defense, Hawkins needs to teach the rest of the team how to guard people.

so far i think that we have had a few guys playing nice defence. hawkins is one of them, but cato, griff, mooch, and steve have all been putting some pressure on there man too.

individualy we have a nice defencive team, but our problem is team defence. you could tell when lewis cought the ball on the baseline, turned and dunked before anyrocket looked back to see where the pass went. we need to talk more on defence.
