Some highlights

*Talking to league...logo should be available quickly.

*One of the merchandise vendors leaked it out a week early on the internet. Barron got ahold of it and that forced the Rockets to release it yesterday.

*Fabric not ready for the uniform, made by Reebok in red.

*Fabric will be like the Warriors unis.

*Hats came out brighter than the real red. Logo in paper is darker than the uniforms will be.

*Caller said fans should have had more input. Lance and John blasted him saying it's "just a logo" and "isn't it better than the last logo"?

*Tim said they DID have fan feedback though website poll. Fans wanted simplier, cleaner look and wanted the red back and that's what they did.

*Red, silver, white primary colors with black accents.

*Players want a wider shoulder strap, but not as wide as the Sixers.

I think he means that they weren't ready to release it yet...

Chron reported it early, therefore forcing the Rox to release it before they were ready.

and it is amazing that the Chron found the leak and broke the story before the hounds of cc.net.

I don't know...he said Barron got ahold of a BAD looking prototype and was going to put that in the paper...the Rockets were then forced to unveil the new logo to keep the bad looking one from getting out and really scaring everyone.

i don't Tim leaked anything out. Yesterday afternoon he was on with Charlie and Rich and he talked about the uniforms being red and white with the silver and black trim or whatever it is.

*The ring around the R is "open to interpetation". WTF???

*They wanted the logo to work with the animations that will appear on the new video boards in the new arena.

*They looked at Yankees, Packers and Cowboys and played of the simplicity of those.

Just about all home jersey's are mainly white. The road jersey's are the ones with the teams full colors.
