So im sitting here on the computer with channel 39 on in the background and they are about to do a Rockets game 5 preview by checking out Clutchfans.net! On the preview they showed the forums homepage...
UPDATE: Well i wondered if this was a piece they were going to do without Clutch's knowledge but then there you are Clutch! Thats awesome this site is getting the love on the media. This site really is the the see all and end all for anything houston sports related but especially for the Rockets. Keep up the great work man....I've been coming to this site for atleast 9 years and counting now and Clutchfans is my first site I check everytime Im on my computer
i started following the rockets since 05, and started an account in 07...cant say i cant boast enough about this site to my friends (the shoutout!!) I check it every time i get home from school... can't go a day w/o checking into the site at least 6 or 7 times a day...
It was basically an interview with Clutch. One of the points was how Clutchfans was started when Clutch wrote an article back in the day about how the Rockets should trade for Charles Barkley. They talked about how many people visit the site daily and how the site often crashes during game days due to the high volume of loggers.
Thanks guys, and thanks to Ray and the team at channel 39 for the story. I've got it captured but I think it's going to be up on 39online.com. The funny part about it was Jorge Vargas introduced the story like this: "The Rockets playoff run has fans coming out in record numbers to support the team. Ray Fisher tells us there's one place you can always find the most hardcore fans.... that's Rockets.com... (pause, then realized he said the wrong site)... Clutchnut" -- then cut to the story. It cracked me up. Some day I'll ask him how much Rockets marketing paid him to say that.
Nice, interested in watching it when it's posted. Btw, that is quite the blunder.....Rockets.com rofl.
Remember that chick in the stripe red shirt? She was in the background in a video. And her myspace page was found.
