If we traded for all the good players (all of them), would we still have enough time/games to make the playoffs?

Also, can we please talk about the skyline painting in the background, Bima? Where is this skyline location that was the inspiration?

but why? why more and more picks?

when we even dont know how to develop the players we pick?

    1. you cant trade jalen green for top 2 pick right now... hes value is already tanked..

    2. cant trade garuba for 20 something pick..you lucky if you get a 2nd rounder for him

    3. ok perhaps you would be able to trade sengun for a teen pick...perhaps
    4. also perhaps you can get a 20 something pick for JC

so you already lost more than you can recover by showcasing these vets instead of developing...

    Define good players?

In my scenarios I'm not bringing the Rockets back good players.
With the exception of Duncan Robinson.

    These work on trade machine
(Miami) Duncan Robinson x Wood (Houston)

(Bucks) Brook Lopez x Theis / Armoni Brooks (Houston)....
make it 1 FRP instead of 2 SRP because we are throwing in Brooks.
    Buy-out Brook Lopez eventually....or not?

(Cavs) Rubio x Eric Gordon (Houston)

    (Clippers) Ibaka x Augustin (Houston)

(Hornets) Ish Smith x Nwaba (Houston)

    (Lakers) Westbrook x Wall (Houston)

Only Duncan Robinson would get some play. Probably not making Play-In tourney.
    Just my opinion.

    So the tally would be:
    5 first round picks
    4 second round picks.

Edited: just saw Duncan Robinson is not a Free Agent this summer.
Probably means just 1 first round pick for Wood. I read Oladipo may
    come back soon....making Duncan expendable.

I believe the idea is to package some to move up in top 5 this draft; but I get
    your sentiments. Funny.

I think it fell apart a bit at the speculation of the wonky 3 team deal, otherwise solid listen. Thanks guys

It was a highly entertaining 50+ minutes, guys. I especially enjoyed the discussion about moving Wood, and I have to differ with Nick about the admittedly wonky 3 team deal. It led into different scenarios between the Rockets and the Lakers, as well as the Kings, that I found interesting. In addition, how much pressure is Monte McNair under to make a move that could get Sacramento into at least the play-in? The Kings haven't been in the playoffs since the Middle Ages. Wood could be the difference maker that gets them there.

How much pressure is LeBron putting on Lakers management to get Westbrook the hell out of LA? I think Dave brought that up. LeBron could threaten to leave if he doesn't get help for this season's playoff run, and he's quite capable of doing just that, in my opinion. Lots of good stuff on Jackson Gatlin's show with @Clutch and @BimaThug. Everyone should check it out.

Imagine trying to allocate minutes for all those young players.

    Wasteful.

Rockets already have a ton of players 26 and under.

    Green
    Jaygup
    Sengun
    Garuba
    Nix
    KJ
    Snipa
    KPJ
    Mathews
    Tate
    Wood

It will be interesting to see what Stone can come away with. Hoping for the best, preparing for last years deadline.

That was a fun listen; thanks guys!

I like the idea of being aggressive to get that 2027 Lakers pick - moving Wall and EG to get that done would be great.

Not too keen on waiting till the offseason to move Christian Wood, primarily because it means another half a season of stunted development for Sengun. I also like Theis better as a fit for the roster/locker room; we need his defense. I don’t see Woods value getting any higher with a year and a half left on his deal. Hope he’s gone next week.
