REALLY good game so far, already 2 goals in the first half! Germany scored the first goal, then Mexico replied back within a few minutes later, then Germany got their 2nd goal in no more than a couple of minutes later! Really good game so far...
This was an awesome game, spectacular goals and great plays. Whoever thinks football ("soccer") is boring should watch this game... Germany won 4-3 in extra time. Next: Brazil vs. Argentina, should be a nice matchup!
Completely agree SJC... BTW, Brazil vs. Argentina (the Confederation Cup finale game) is on now LIVE on FSC. It should be a great game as well. I hope it at least matches the Germany vs. Mexico game, that was GREAT soccer. I think they will replay both games tonight on FSC starting at 7pm, so watch it guys if you missed the Germany/Mexico game, you won't regret it
WOW! That was a bullet! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! This kid is UN-FREAKIN'-BELIEVABLE!
Another one! GOOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!! Damn, they might as well hand the World Cup trophy over to the Brazilians right now, they are going to crush teams
Headline in a German newspaper yesterday: "Brazil, Argentina: Enjoy the Confed Cup Final - because in next year's final, one of you will NOT be there - we will" I happen to agree
LOL! I am not dissing the Germans at all, in fact, IMO, they were easily the 2nd best team in the tournament, behind Brazil. I have always been impressed by the way the Germans play, they are almost mechanical in their accuracy on the field. I just think that when it comes to pure talent, no one comes close to the Brazilians. I don't know how they continue to find such talent year-in and year-out. BTW, the two games will be replayed on FSC today. The Germany/Mexico game will be on at 4pm (Houston time), and the Brazil/Argentina will be at 7pm (Houston time also). Just a heads-up for those who missed the two great games.
They walk outside and look around. It is in their blood, period. There are more than 10,000 Brazilians playing professional soccer OUTSIDE OF BRAZIL.
Did Fifa ever go the lighter ball like MLS did when they first started out. It seems like goals and long shots have increased dramatically in these world cup matches versus like 8 years ago. Which is fine with me, but I wonder.
Speaking of the MLS... Why the hell do we not have an MLS franchise in Houston?!!! let's see: we have a city with a huge Hispanic population, and even more so than just Hispanics, tons of soccer fans (many citizens of Houston are foreign-born and are soccer fanatics), and plenty of soccer moms around. Oh, and we happen to have facilities in-town that are ready to host soccer games. I know I would be a season-ticket holder.
