Not to many live albums were recorded here, or even that many songs by great bands which makes me sad especially when they forgone recording here and recorded in Dallas and/or San Antonio (Black Sabbath recorded in both Dallas and SA but not here!). Motley Crue recorded in SA, Judas Priest recorded in Dallas, Aerosmith recorded in Dallas, Rush recorded in Dallas and SA... I know Journey recorded here and that's one of the more famous recordings, Guns n' Roses recorded one song here on their double live album Live Era, but that's really about it. Anyone else know of any?
Jean Michel Jarre? <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/GYio7l7B940" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> No, but seriously: I remember watching the Journey concert and being amazed something so epic was happening in my hometown. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/VcjzHMhBtf0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

this thread just reminds of how much the exciting and raucous atmosphere of a concert has been lost due to everyone just wanting to record with their iphone rather than enjoy it. i mean, you pay to see a band live but all you do is stand there watching through your 3.5 inch screen.
Steven Fromholz recorded a live album at Anderson Fair. Also, not music, but Mitch Hedberg's "Strategic Grill Locations" was recorded at the Laff Stop on West Gray.
I thought queen released a video in Houston. The high school musical tour in 2006 was filmed in Houston. I was at a rockets game and saw a sign that said the Demi Lovato concert was being filmed for release and we ain't paying you **** if you see yourself on the DVD.
There's some KISS video footage that I saw on a KISS DVD that was recorded at the Summit in 1977 or so.
You're right, I just looked it up and wa s on Kissology Vol 1. I thought it was a bootleg but hey cool it wasn't Not into the country music except the Eagles perhaps but I appreciate the input. I do have to say some of those records don't even have a Wiki page
