We are starting a section in our criminal law class and it involves a "hypo". I put quotes around it b/c i am pretty sure it really happened. Here's the scenario: HPD picks up a hispanic male in Pasadena for X crime. They rough him up handcuff him and toss him in the bayou and say "let's see if the wetback can swim." [BTW sorry] My question is does anyone remember that? My mom says she is sure it really happened but can't remember details. Got any data on real live facts, names, dates, etc? Tried to Google it and came up with zero
we wrote a really horrible song in high school... Grab a beer and you'll hear one of our stories Man we had some fun with ol Jo Torres Broke his eggs and his legs MeO MyO Wadda know we threw ol jo in the Bayou. Yep! It happened In the early, mid 70s
Those of us who were teens in Houston during the 70's learned early on that you did not mess around with Houston cops. It was "yes sir, no sir." If they had to chase you, they were bringing an asswhooping with them.
he he he. We have had our tet a tet's but it's always with a wink and a smile... BTW thanks for the info... more research to come. Oh and I don't have full access to LN WL, yet, only able to look up cases that I have the citation for...
I'm ashamed to say yes. But the song was more a slam on the police. Unfortunately there are other verses. Amazing... I can't remember what I had for lunch last Thursday, but I can remember a stupid song from over 25 years ago.
