He called Stockton and Rodman "dirty dirty players" too. :)

The rest have been mentioned before but that moment where they presented Dream his regular season trophy and he included his teammates in his glory also ranks up there for me.

My top five have already been listed by others so I won't post them all again. I will just add one that no one else mentioned

When Hakeem tipped in the ball during game 1 of the Orlando series, and at first he thought it didn't count.

Without looking at anyone else's here goes...........

Dream at the scorer's table absorbing winning his first championship.

Goin off on the Mermaid in the 95 playoffs

The 96 series versus the Sonics when I realized that Dream wasn't quite the same Dream

The KJ block where he chased him down fullcourt

The monster game 7 of the 93 semis versus Seattle..............in no particular order.

Now I'll check to see if these match up with any of your choices.

    1. 95 WCF. most dominating performance ever. and to do it on the mvp, man. can't wait to see game 6 on espn classic this sunday.

    2. the KJ block and the Rod strickland block. still don't know how he could catch strickland who was already going the other way.

    3. Game 1 tip against orlando. i thought it didn't count also, then i saw the 0.3 left and started freaking out. came back from 20 that game. very sweet.

    4. 94 championship. carried us singlehandedly.

    5. all the freakin' dreamshakes and jukes and moves he put on people and listening to bill and calvin go crazy over all of them.

and if you don't like that #5 then him breaking the shotblocking record.

5 is not enough ................:(. I pulled some of the following details and quotes from all the clippings Ive saved about Hakeem over the years. Credit to the Houston Chronicle for alot of the following
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10: August 2, 2001 - Houston Rockets trade Hakeem Olajuwon to the Toronto Raptors - Sad, but definately memorable. I start out with this because of its signifigance to me. When this came down, I felt like I had just been punched in the stomach. I guess the best way to describe it would be, its like watching your wife/girlfriend kiss another man right in front of you. :(

9: November 11, 1995 - v. Minnesota - Hakeem Olajuwon took the ball on the baseline late in the first half and wheeled under the basket, faking a pass, spinning back the opposite direction and pushing up a five-foot jump hook, surpassing the 20,000 point mark for his career.

8: May 1, 1994 - v. Portland, Game 2 in the 1st round of the NBA playoffs - It will be forever known simply as "The Block ." After a midcourt steal, Strickland appeared to be sailing in for an uncontested layup, but Olajuwon caught him from behind and swatted the ball into the scorer's table.

"I honestly didn't think he could catch me," a sheepish Strickland said

Oh ...and Hakeem had 46 points, 8 rebounds and 4 other blocks in that game which we won.

7: March 29, 1990 - v. Milwaukee Bucks - 18 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists and 11 blocks. At that time, only the third quadruple double in NBA history (Nate Thurmond and Alvin Robertson)

6: August 3, 1996 - Team USA v. Yogoslavia - Hakeem Olajuwon wins a gold medal, representing the good ol' USA. :D

5: April 21, 1996 - v. Phoenix - Hakeem Olajuwon gathered himself after biting on an A.C. Green head fake, he went back up and swatted away a shot attempt by Green during the third quarter and became the NBA's all-time leading shot-blocker, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. :D

4: May 24, 1995 - V. San Antonion in the WC Finals - Robinson receives his MVP award at mid-court prior to the game. The rest of the night belonged to Hakeem as he systematically upstaged Robinson. Olajuwon takes Robinson apart the whole game. However, what I remember most vividly is "THE MOVE".

Hakeem Olajuwon turned, ready to make his move to the basket. David Robinson crouched low, muscles tensed as he readied himself for what was to come.

Perhaps if Robinson had known at the time, he might have just gotten out of the way. Maybe there could have been a way to avoid being made the pigeon in what so far has become the defining moment of the Western Conference finals . But there was no such foresight for Robinson.

Olajuwon took a hard dribble, pump-faked left, showed the ball, spun, pumped right and showed the ball again. Robinson, not biting on the first move, finally went airborne as he fell for the second. Yeah, now you see it, now you don't. The sucker play had worked again.

As Robinson flew by, Olajuwon went back to his left, ducked under and kissed the ball off the glass for two of his 41 points.

Indeed, there's trouble in Mr. Robinson's neighborhood and the reason is a nasty little move by Olajuwon called the "Dream Shake."

"Oh, it's just a move," said Olajuwon with a shrug, attempting to describe the maneuver.

Just a move??????????????? Hakeem you are so humble!!!!!!

3: June 14, 1995 - v. Orlando Magic - Hakeem wins his second NBA Finals MVP en route to a sweep of the Magic for our second NBA title. :D

2: May 15, 1987 - WC Semis v. Seattle double overtime loss - 49 Points, 25 rebounds, 6 blocks. I feel, Hakeem never carried his team on his shoulders more than he did on this night. One of his first steps in his march towards greatness.

1: June 22, 1994 - v. New York Knicks - Winning the MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and the Finals MVP while delivering Houston's first major sports championship. Nuff said. :D
