Looking at this list and looking at the way he’s run the Rocket’s organization, I will say it for a millionth time~ he is clueless on running a sports team.

 

I think COVID kind of took care of that for ya, bud. Very diversified portfolio there.

 

I believe he owns Post Oak Hotel in Houston too

 

Yeah, this guy is practically bankrupt due to COVID. Let’s hope he sells the team

 

I’ve never been inclined to visit any of these places and the names make me grimace but have been taken to Brenner’s and enjoyed it. Sadly boycotting these businesses will just hurt the employees in the short term.

 

Somehow these dudes always survive. I just hope he sells the team anyway.

Owning this many restaurants none of which are known for their food should tell you everything you need to know about Tillman Fertitta.

The guy is about the sizzle not the steak... literally not just figuratively.

 

He's a slightly more intelligent Trump which is really sad.

 

And this will do nothing for the Rockets
unless the entire fan base is a bunch of fat kids

TF is a walking gimmick. Like Trump, he understands nothing about class and style.

He will turn this organization in one massive gimmick and give a massive middle finger to the life time fans.

I've said this before. Do not feel bad for giving up on this team. This team is done. He will cannabilize this teams soul and when nothing else is left, he will hang it on the wall as a trophy. He will not sell the team. The NBA is structured to shade shitty owners like TF. And when Tilman is gone, it will go to his family.

Fans have a right to be angry as Les.

You know I was thinking about this last night, and it might be one of the best things you can do as a long term fan is to send a message when it is needed. You don't see this happen in NYC with the Knicks and in LA with the Lakers where there's just such a market that will still make mediocrity prosperous.

However we are in a position to use our power in the Houston market to enact changes. If we all stop putting our money into the Rockets/TF's pocket, it should be able to either get him out, or get him to wake up and make changes to do much better as a franchise.

I don't believe a boycott is in order here, but I'll certainly be choosing other restaurants in the short term, and I don't know if I'll be attending too many Rockets games this year. I sure as hell don't want to waste 300 bucks for a couple tickets, drinks etc. just to see 44 minutes of Russell Westbrook pull up 2 pointers, and turnovers with no defense on either end for a team that might win 38 games. I feel like giving my money to that type of nonsense will just enable an owner like TF to think he can just pay for one star like Russ with some other cheap pieces, and he can still be in the billionaire sports owner club. F that.
