OK, what's the over/under on how many artists lip sync tonight?

    So far:

    Gwen Stefanie - lip syncing
    Lenny Kravitz - lip syncing

they're all gonna lip synch... you can't have that many performers and have sound checks for all of them, etc... it's just easier...

btw, why are you watching the AMA's? Are any music award shows worth watching these days?

I wish Kanye West, Jamie Foxx and Twista had lip synched their performance. I love Kanye, but seeing that disaster on stage was like watching three monkies try to **** one football.

I thought Jamie Foxx did a great job singing and playing the piano.

I read somewhere that he is a trained musician. Apparently he started taking piano lessons at a very young age, and would have tried to be a musician had it not been for comedy.

Speaking of Kanye, did you see Anna Nicole's intro for him!? That was hilarious!

I only caught the very end, i.e., the closing credits, and I can assure you the crowd's eruption into applause at the end there was obviously lip synched.

I started to watch, then switched to the football game, then fell asleep.

And I'm the one that started this thread! What does that tell you? :D

    Great:

Alicia Keyes and Usher- Superstars in the making.
Snoop and Pharrell- Nice song, presentation was cool and natural.
Maroon 5- Had never heard of them but they made me a fan.
Jessica Simpson- Funny faces aside, she can really sing.

    Good:

Bon Jovi- Richie Sambora looked a little older than I am comfortable with.
Josh Groben- Great voice, he could rule G movie soundtracks for the next 10 years.
Lenny Kravtiz- I didn't think he was lip syncing, and I like the song but if you're gonna do away with the hair, eliminate the earrings too.
Fantasia- Nice voice but she tried a little too hard.
Gretchen Wilson- A little older and heavier but can SANG!

    The others:

Kenny Chesney & Uncle Cracker- Didn't do it for me
Rod Stewart- Dave Coz made the song
    Toby Keith- Caribbean Country?
John Mayer- Nice songwriter, not a great performer

I caught the end of that Bon Jovi song and I only heard the chorus "Have a Nice Day." I was laughing, I feel bad if that is where his song writing is at these days.

I thought it was kind of funny how the crowd just turned on him. It was classic.

Stupid sound engineers screwed my boy over. He is absolutely outstanding in concert. Just keep in mind that this is a cat that Paul Simon, Buddy Guy, and Eric Clapton have called a great guitar player and performer.

I heard Toby Keith is gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Maybe I should have said not a great performance.

The engineers did screw up the beginning.
