Finally, their new album is coming out after being postponed numerous amount of times. Interestingly enough, it'll debut a day earlier outside of the U.S. on the 14th. I'm so pumped man, I love all of their songs. Anyone else excited about their next album as much as I am? Their first single: "What I've Done." <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8sgycukafqQ"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8sgycukafqQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Sorry if this has been posted already.
Until further notice, Hybrid Theory is still the best. I like the first single, hoping the rest of the album is good-great.
can't wait! btw, Maroon 5's new album is coming out at around the same time too. I hope they tour again, went to their concert in 2004, they are freaking awesome live!
Agreed saw them in Albuquerque I think in 2003...They're first single sounds kinda ghey but I love their first album...I still don't understand why it took so long for this to come out...M5 that is...
I bought it this morning. They weren't kidding when they said were gonna stay away from the nu-metal and go in a brand new direction on this album. Still, most of the songs are pretty good IMO. You may not like it at first since it's not your "typical" LP music, but I assure you that it'll definitely grow on you. I'm not going to lie though, I hope on their next album that they go back to nu-metal. What are ya's opinions on it?
Info w/ torrent link here, been out since the 4th online http://www.rlslog.net/linkin-park-minutes-to-midnight-2007/
Entertaiment Weekly (for what that's worth) said they should have stuck to their rap/rock...it's what they do best. Producer Rick Rubin got them away from that on this cd.
It sounds exactly like everything else I hear on the radio/tv right now. I am starting to think that it is all the same song and the whole world is playing a big trick on me.
I was equating Linkin Park and Avril, in case you couldn't tell. I don't know why you would be unable to tell, but thems the breaks. Remember Lincoln Logs?
To me, Linkin Park is a band that has been getting better while their popularity declines -- mainly because they aren't the hot new thing. Furthermore, for anyone that likes to bash what other people like to listen to, get a life -- who cares if you think Linkin Park is equal to Avril Lavigne. I'm not a fan of Lavigne and I'm not particularly a fan of Linkin Park, I've never owned any of their music, but to equate the two is pretty funny and shows someone is just in hate mode. I'm of the opinion that people should listen to whatever makes them happy, music plays a different role in different people's life. Some people enjoy music simply because they can sing along with it, some enjoy it because they have an emotional connection to it, some people listen to it because they think being a fan of a particular genre makes them cool/smarter than everyone else... It really doesn't matter. In the end it is the same... everyone is just trying to enjoy life.
