Lisa Ling, who has left The View, was in town to see the Rockets and Yao Ming tonight. She's working for National Geographic (the tv version) now. I was at the game and saw her with her camera crew interviewing people and found out. I'm not exactly what sort of angle National Geographic is gonna take on Yao but I hope I catch it. Everyone keep there eyes and ears open.
I saw her too! She was with a nerdy camera guy. I think she was waiting for the game to end so she can interview him for the view.
Tonights interview seem to be part of a segment on Yao Ming that is airing in Feb or March. Excerts of tonights interview may be shown earlier then that not for sure yet.
No ****? You mean Yao Ming has nothing to do with basketball? I guess you corrected me. Thanks for clearing that up, Einstein.
This is for game action and roster moves, not what chick from some show is in town to watch Yao Ming.
Some people may remeber her as one of the reporters from Channel 1, that news thing that we watched back in Middle/High school. I saw her also and was a few feet from me. She looks real good in person and I last heard she is going out with Rick Yune, the asian guy from Fast and the Furious and Die Another Day.
She was not going to interview him for The View. Lisa Ling has left The View as the poster before you stated. She is working with National Geographic and was doing a story on the Chinese. Yes, she was there interview Yao Ming. This was mentioned on the radio last night during the game. this is Lisa Ling:
Timing, Exactly what part of my post is confusing to you? I started a thread mentioning a REPORTER from National Geographic was in town to do a story on Yao Ming. There are numerous threads with heads up on interviews, articles and tv stories on Rockets players. I, for one, appreciate when someone alerts me of an upcoming tv story that has anything to do with the Rockets. From now on I will type my posts out slower for those like you so easily confused. Happy Holidays
You didn't alert us of squat other than some day in the future, between now and who knows when, there might be an interview with Yao Ming. Great job man. Type your posts out slower? Whatever entertains you buddy.
Exactly...and that was my intention. There is no "might" to the interview. She did interview Yao rather extensively. I also thought it was interesting that National Geographic tv of all things would do a story on an NBA basketball player. I'd be willing to be it's a first. It also goes to show what kind of boundaries Yao is crossing. The fact that Yao is on the team now people who have never even heard of the Rockets or kept up with the NBA are finding out about it. When I do find out the exact date, time and channel the story will be on I will post another note. Better yet, I'd be happy to email you personally. Who pissed in your Cap'n Crunch today? Let me follow the lead of others and start another more entertaining trade thread. Maybe that'll suit you. Would you mind proof reading my posts first to make sure they pass your standards?
Ming flirt with Lisa Ling (China Sports Weekly) This is juicy stuff. Ming flirst with Lisa Ling!. It is reported in China sportsweekly (www.sportsweekly.com.cn). Here is a link. I put my translation below related to Ming. http://sports.tom.com/Archive/1019/1042/2002/12/16-36893.html Ming Flirt with Lisa Ling. Everybody is different when there is a hot chick around. Ming knows how to flirt too. Before the game with the Clippers, Lisa Ling shows up in the locker room. She looks very Asian and is hot. She told Ming in English, "Excuse me. I am from the National Geography. I know you get lots of media attention everyday. Are you getting tired of reporters?" Ming said, "I cann't say that in front of media. Besides, I will never be tired of beautiful ladies like you." Lisa blushed. She said, "I didn't konw you flirt too." Lisa is trying to get a story of Asian people for her magazine. Her focus is on the feeling of them. She wants to know what Ming dislike most. She thought it was media attention, but now it seems not. Ming told her frankly, "I hate traffic jam and back-to-back games most." He also added, "My daily life here starts from traffic jam, and ends with traffic jam." Ming's house is in a residential area. But traffic is bad. It takes him one hour to get to gym everyday. Lisa asked, "Do you have traffic jams in Beijing and Shanghai?" Ming said, "We do. But I ride bicycle." "My daily life is like from home to gym, then from gym to home. The only difference between now and before (when he was in Shanghai Sharks) is that before I go from dormitory to gym and back to dormitory. I am afraid to go out. Because it always traffic jam." Ming said.
Well, a Chinese newspapaer also reported Lisa's interview on Yao and Wang. The report said that Lisa is working for the National Georgraphic (magazine) and the magazine is doing a story on the life of the eastern people in the States, indicating that is why Lisa interviewed Yao. BTW, during this interview, Yao said traffic jam and back-to-back games are his most dislikes in the States.
LOL! Nice response from Yao. Shoulda ask for her # and cheat on his girlfriend back in China! Hey, i would flirt with her too!
I would totally agreed with Yao about traffic jam! Imagine going to work every day and sitting in your car for 1 1/2 getting there and 1 1/2 coming home. That's 3 hours a day!! Now multiply that by 5 and you get 15 hours a week!! Now Multiply that by 4 and you get 60 hours in a month!! Multiply 60 by 12months and you get 700+ hours in a year!!! 700+ divided by 24hrs and you 30 days!! Yup, imagine yourself sitting in the car for 30 days straight!!
