The strength of our team is that we can matchup with anybody. Therefore, we should switch lineups around based on the team we are playing. For example, when we play people like N.O., put out a starting lineup of: Yao/Hayes/Bud/Martin/Lowry so that we can put the best defenders on their best players. Our second unit of Hill/Scola/Battier/Lee/Brooks would destroy their backup players. We need to think outside the box. There is no reason for us to keep the same starting 5 for every game.
You can mix and match all you want, it's not going to change the fact that our "star" guards are a huge detriment to the team if they aren't scoring well.
