Rush Limbaugh is gonna work football games this year for Disney (ABC and ESPN). I despise the man's politics, but am curious about his talents as a football commentator.

I missed his debut Thursday night, but was wondering how he did.

i happened to see it. Basically he sounded like any other analyst.

I believe his superbowl pick was New England at Tampa Bay

As a carpetbagging New Englander, I like that pick!

You moved to Texas with a suitcase made from carpet, hung around a stick?

    Cool ...

I thought he did a great job. He knows as much about football as any of the other commentators, which says a lot. And for those who seeth with hatred over his politics, he did not mention one single bit on the subject. His characterization of the Tuna as being a "made man" in NYC is so true. That guy could lose 10 games in a row and still be worshipped as a deity, both with his Super Bowl win with the Giants and being a big part of bringing the Jets back to respectability. I think I will enjoy NFL Sunday Countdown, a show I always liked, even more.

I thought it was hilarious how the first thing he talked about on the show was the NFL rule involving the hiring process for coaches.

They were very timid in letting him talk on Thursday.

He might as well not have been there.

Rush's "lock of the week" was New England over Buffalo. Ouch!

Yep, Rush knows about as much football as anyone else on ESPN ; ).
