Harden is the clear cut NBA MVP and yet you’d never know it listening to all the whining Houston fans tonight. Without Harden we would be 8-26 instead of 26-8!!! Get over a couple of bonehead plays and thank your lucky stars that he is on our side. Problem with this team is not Harden, it is the lack of depth at the center position. We need a big presence in the middle and without it we are being dominated by players going to the rim at will.
Everyone knows where things stand. It was a bad loss move on. Rockets are still top tier nba team, and harden is the league scorer. People just are mad at harden cause he made 1 mistake, let smart get the best out of him. But he probably wont do this come playoffs. Having people out of rotation hurts, and rockets nearly beat the celetics without key contributors, thats pretty huge. Nobody saying mentioning this except one person i see.
he's good enough to make expectations super high lol. I remember in the trailblazers game thread people were like "we don't deserve harden, we take him for granted. We don't appreciate him enough" now everyone's like "he isn't an elite player. he's a loser and weak minded" We are all just emotional fans. Things will come around if we get healthy and get back to our winning ways. People were panicing on the astros when keuchel, lance, correa were injured and we were losing. ups and downs in a long season. The 1st seed was probably never going to happen. 2 seed is still extremely realistic.
The thing is it isn't merely bad shooting nights with Harden. If it was just him just being a streaky shooter i can understand you being frustrated with hit takes. Him completely falling apart as an offensive NBA player to the level of having his basketball talent zapped into a magic basketball whenever the opponent decides to press on him off or on the ball is of major concern and is a systemic issue to Harden's game that every gm, coaching staff etc has already noticed and will implement in close games down the stretch.
Have you seen his averages over the past 5 games??? Theyre pretty good. Im not making excuses for him, he blew the celtics game but i think you are over reacting
