I hope Rice is out for the season. I hope MoT is out for the season. It's time to play more Posey. It's time to play more TMo. It's time to play more Boki. If Rockets have the capacity allowing EG to miss shots and make rookie mistakes, they should do the same for Boki. He's as promising as EG. This team is not a rehab center. Neither a retirement home for the old veterans to prove they could perform without viagra. It's time to move forward.

Shouldn't the light be at the end of the tunnel? Aren't you SOL if the light's in the tunnel?

You don't have to answer that, I'm just being annoying. :p

Well I can't argue with your assesment of Rice since I feel he should be coming off the bench. His minutes should be spread between Tmo, Boki, and Posey ( with Posey getting 2 guard minutes as well)

But , I completely disagree about MoT. If we are going to make some noise in the playoffs, we need MoT to light em up in (no pun intended) in the scoring dept. When he is on and add in EG's new found aggressivness, that is a pretty potent PF spot. I would not mind giving Tmo a few minutes at the 4 in a pinch or against a smaller lineup but EG & MoT should get the lion share of the minutes.

    Goodness no...not Mo!

Rice's court absence would be a blessing for the future Rockets, but we need Mo badly. He was starting to come around. Take it back before you curse him and it comes true.:( :D

Who the hell is going to man the back-up 4 spot if MoT goes down for the season? That is just ridiculous to even think of that, let alone wish it happens. I can give 2 sh!ts about Rice's injury. In fact, Posey needs to be the starter anyway. But we would be SOL if Taylor were to miss for any extended period of time. Griff just isn't ready to man the 4 alone and play those kind of minutes for the entire season.

    Roc Paint,

There are no 2 more different players in the league.

    T-Mo is tall
MoT is somewhat short for his position

    T-Mo is skinny
    Mo is stocky

T-Mo is all defense and no offense, other than the spark this season
MoT is all offense and little defense

    T-Mo is and all-round player
    MoT is not

    T-Mo is a SF
    MoT is a PF

I can go on and on.

What happens if TMo gets injured and Boki after that? Depth is a good thing newbie. Watch a little basketball every season for three years, then post. You sound ignorant, stop posting your thoughts, only read.

    Sane,

All I'm saying is that T-Mo will be logging mintues at the four.

    Mo-T will not.

T-Mo should stick to the 3. He's not strong enough, nor does he have the moves to be a 4.

So who do you put in after Griffin? Cato's barely proven he can hold down the five spot, let alone the four. And besides, we don't need an offensive minded power foward in Mo-T (not like that was happening anyway). I think we need more rebounding and better weak side shot blocking from that spot on the floor. We have enough shooters on this team with Francis, Cat and Ming. I just don't see any other choice but play Morris at the four.

It might not be a horrible idea to play TMo at the 4. He's a pretty good defender, and on the offensive end he'd probly be able to use his quickness and shot pretty effectively. This is IF MoT is out. I still have faith that the EG/MoT rotation is a good one. But the EG/TMo rotation probly wouldn't be too bad either. On paper we lose MoT's offensive power, but we gain more defense and rebounding in TMo. I agree that TMo is a good all around player and suited more for the 3 spot, but what other choice do we have if MoT is out? (Besides putting Cato in the 4 isn't a great idea but still very intriguing).
Rice being out is.. possibly.. a good thing (although its good not to have injured players it's frustrating that Rice get the starting nod and so many minutes). I always wanted TMo, Posey and Hawkins to be manning the 3 spot (with Hawkins giving Mobley a break now and then). Having a good sf defender is very very good, the 3 spot doesn't need to be manned by an offensive minded player or shooter like Rice (and yes even Nachbar, as much as I'd like to see him play, I've grown less enthusiastic about him becoming our main 3).
I do hope MoT comes back soon though, and I hope he finds his game too.

If Mo Taylor is out for an extended period, Jason Collier becomes your backup PF. He is suited for it because he has the height, the weight, the strength, the touch on his shot and heart.

I prefer Mo-T's game, but Collier will be solid, perhaps even surprisingly solid. Collier has always had to play center on this team because of his height and size, but even in college he was a PF. He would protect Ming's and Cato's flank a lot better than Terrence Morris. This is not a knock on T-Mo because he is a SF.

Also, I can't believe any of you boardsters could be happy that ANY of our players is injured.

I find it sick and disgusting that any human being, could be happy with the injury of another human being, much less a member of our team.

I hope Rice and MoT have quick recoveries and wish them the best.

Regardless of what you may believe, this team is better with them than without them.

    Go Rockets.
