http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/Movies/03/24/film.brian.reut/index.html Great, great movie. Don't see the point of seeing it in the theater when you can rent it. Also a little disappointed that they'd feel motivated to try to 'counter' The Passion; that's a little bush. But, it is a piece of satiric genius that I probably need to see again (on video).
Watching in the theater, especially one filled with people, is just a different experience than watching at home.
I think I'll stay home and just pop in the Criterion DVD. Although I am halfway tempted to see it in a theater just to find out if the audience starts singing along to "Always Look On the Bright Side Of Life".
Awe-freaking-some! Brian: Have I got a big nose, Mum? Mandy: Stop thinking about sex! Brian: I wasn't! Mandy: You're always on about it. "Will the girls like this? Will the girls like that? Is it too big? Is it too small?"
Centurion: You know the penalty laid down by Roman law for harboring a known criminal? Matthias: No. Centurion: Crucifixion! Matthias: Oh. Centurion: Nasty, eh? Matthias: It could be worse. Centurion: What you mean "Could be worse"? Matthias: Well...you could be stabbed. Centurion: Stabbed? Takes a second. Crucifixion lasts hours. It's a slow, horrible death. Matthias: Well, at least it gets you out in the open air.
Followers: He is! He is the Messiah! Brian: Now, **** off! [silence] Arthur: How shall we **** off, O Lord?
