Ok last night when the truth was coming to all of us that Hakeem was gone. I remember I was shocked and pissed off. I apoligize for that. During this time I always thought Hakeem would just say Im going to be back and become a rocket. Its the most shocking thing to see Hakeem in another uni. If you would of told me that last year I would of said yeah right. We got to know what type of guy hakeem really is this offseason. Im not mad at him , I wish him a fun time in Toronto. ( Besides since Raptors are on Tv all day we can see him alot. ) Either way we all knew this day would come when Hakeem wasnt going to be there at the start of the season when the ball went up. I always thought because of him retiring from the nba. Its going to be hard for some of us who grew up watching hakeem when he first joined the rockets in 84. Rockets now with this gain some advantage. We can go out and sign our guys who have been waiting and maybe pickup a center (Jackson) that can help in the long run. Hakeem would of helped alot this year but he wouldnt be here later on when this team is on the high rise. Rockets have this year added a Franchise player in Eddie Griffin. It will take time for him to develop with the players. But it is worth the wait. We won 45 games last year mostly without Hakeem. The rockets started to jell very good in the end when the chemistry was turning well. Mo Taylor was learning his way of scoring and other players like Moochie played important roles. Now the rockets go into this year for the first time without Hakeem. It will be weird for Rudy and some of the other players. But this day was going to come sooner or later. We have a great , young, exciting team with athletic studs at different positions. This team can make noise in years to come. Go ROCKETS 2001-2002! ------------------ "The girls danced, started fondling me, I got aroused, they performed oral sex," Ewing said. "I hung around a little bit and talked to them, then I left."
I'm going to move on also. I will certainly cheer and pull for Dream until he retires but I am a ROCKETS fan. Compared to things that happen every day in life, this is small. Good luck, Hakeem the Dream. Go Rockets! ------------------ "UNBEATABLE"
