check out the review of the new Superman movie script on www.aint-it-cool-news.com but here's the lowdown: Krypton never blows up. 1.Superman's dad met Martha Kent before Superman fell from the sky. 2.Lex Luthor works for the CIA and is an alien. 3.Lois Lane knows Krav Maga... that Filipino martial art that Matt Damon used in Bourne Identity. 4.Superman dies from Kryptonite poisoning but Jor El convinces him not to

Look, I don't really care about Superman (or comics in general), but dear God, that script is awful. It's so incredibly bad that I guarantee there's no way that movie will ever get made. And if, by some miracle, my guarantee falters and the movie is made (with that script), "Superman Lives" will become the largest flop in American cinema history. And to make things worse, there's even a rumor that Smallville will be yanked off television to make way for this disaster-in-waiting. I suggest selling your shares of Time Warner NOW, before it's too late. (I don't care how down the market is right now, either...) To paraphrase the great movie, Billy Madison, "No where in your rambling, incoherent [script] did you come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. We are all dumber for having [read] it. I award you no [Superman franchise], and may God have mercy on your soul."
Bah, Warner Bros' comic book movies are never accurately depicted on screen. Take the Batman series for example. Warner Bros. really screwed that franchise up.
hey tenchi. did you get your name from that anime show, becuase it was awsome.........i'm gonna open a anime thread right now.
The first movie was a great Batman movie but compared to the last few I think they sucked. What I meant though was events and characters on screen contradicted those used in the comic books. Take Bane for example. The man is a machine not only physically but mentally and breaks Batman on one occasion in the books but on screen the dude is depicted as basically a r****d and is defeated by Robin and Batgirl. But I agree the first Batflick was superb.
My biggest problem with the Batman movies, or those I've seen, was esthetic. He didn't MOVE like I pictured Batman moving; he was too stiff and awkward. And the Joker was too old and fat, although he nailed the persona. I agree with the way they went in SpiderMan..emphasize agility and movement over bulky looking body armour.
