Damn, he did a smart thing if he did stay. I guess it really came down to money in the end.

Paul Silvy of KingTv in Seattle is reporting that forward Rashard Lewis has decided to re-sign with the Seattle Supersonics.

The deal is reportedly for 7 years and worth $64 million with incentives.

Guess it's going to be a done deal.

If a link to an article is available, this is probably suited for the Rockets forum. That way everyone can see it and the Lewis threads will stop.

I'm glad he signed with Sonics. If he wasn't going to sign with the Rockets I'd rather he signed with them than the Mavs. But you have to wonder how much fan support Rashard's going to get in Seattle after this. I know negotiations take time, but I thought this one turned pretty ugly and possibly put a serious dent on Rashard's image.

Thanks for the info LakerMania! Lets get Glen Rice and Mo Taylor healthy, Ming signed, and develop some chemistry because if we get all of those things the Rockets are going to be a better team then the Sonics, and definitely will make he playoffs.

I always felt it would come down to how much money Lewis would get.If he does well for the Sonics he will be forgiven for whatever has happened during this time.

Rashard should have signed the 60 mil offer without the incentives. Now if the Sonics will sign Payton to a long term deal. money will be tied up- I feel like I'm getting even for 1993- we were deprived. We should have had home court........

I believe the 64 million guaranteed with him hitting the max if he makes all his incentive numbers. In other words he gets max money if he shows max numbers. It seems fair to me.

It feels kind of weird to know that its finally over, oh well, Now we move on to bigger and better things, or at least until some janitor at Westside over heard Rashard say that there is going to be a sign and trade with Seattle , my guess is its not really over:D

I'm very confident that eddie will be a better player than Rashard by the time Lewis's new contract is expired.

Paul Silvy of KingTv in Seattle is reporting that forward Rashard Lewis has decided to re-sign with the Seattle Supersonics.

The deal is reportly for 7 years and worth $64 million with incentives.

Apparently, Sonics Head Coach Nate McMillan played a big factor in his decision to stay in Seattle.

The dollars also likely had a big influence as well.

    More info as it comes.

THANK GOD for that. Rashar Lewis is worth 60M over 7 seasons. Notihng more.

I feel bad for Payton. I was hoping he'd get traded to a contender. Any chance he'll still be traded?

Seattle's set at 4 positions. They need a PF though. What could they give us for KT?
