Going along with the comparing Rox players and teams of different eras. Its acknowledged that Drexler and T-Mac are the greatest off guards in Rockets history so who is the second greatest?

Mad Max was easily the most talented, no doubt. Overall I'd go with Sweet Lew Lloyd. A really good mid range shot and fantastic on the break.

    I have to go Maxwell.

He was an underated defender, a good scorer, good 3pt shooter, good on the break, tenacious and aggresive, and don't forget how clutch a shooter he was at the end of games.

Cat isn't close to the other two.

It's really tight between Sweet and Max.

Lloyd was a great finisher, but also had that midrange game....swish.....

What sets them apart in my mind is Max's defense.

Voted for Vernon. Even though a memorable moment I have about Max is when he supposedly punched a Portland fan.

I accidentally picked Mobley instead of Maxwell. Sad. Because I never liked Mobley.

Max had heart. Incredible defense. and did i say heart.

    No Brain though :p

he would be great for this team with his defense and with his heart with scola, and landry's hustle. he would balance out the lack of heart in Yao and TMac.

    what ever happened to Lloyd?
hope he's fully clean and sober. Hey if Michael Ray could clean himself up, then I'm sure Lloyd did too!

This is a bigger toss-up for me than I thought

Lewis Lloyd was machine like from 15 feet in and could play some small forward.

Maxwell, Volume shooter deluxe, not at all efficient (used to just HATE looking at his shooting stats in the box scores). But Mad Max's D sets him apart, and coming up in the big moments. Maxwell's also the best passer of the group and could play point if you needed.

Mobley can't help but think his stats were inflated from the Rudy system. But he did earn a starting role as a rookie on a veteran team. And his defense was underrated at times, he could (can) defend when he has to.

I'll go Lew Lloyd, cuz he's the one that pissed me off the least.

But not one sign of Defense....

Lewis Lloyd called for help more times than Sweet Polly Purebred called for Underdog...

Mad Max was a headcase. He was, dare I say it, a BAD PERSON. If you ask me, he's a persona non grata on the Rockets.

Yeah, well Lewis did the same thing...He wasn't combustible like Max in the conventional sense, but along with the others cost us a title with his drug use.(and hurt himself)
