Are you guys for this trade? I guess I'm kinda stuck in the middle. I have the faith that Griffin could eventually develop into a solid player. I guess it doesn't matter what happens to the trade for me. I would be extremely happy either way it goes.

    Nope, nope, and...hmm.....nope.

    No.

I would be mad if the Griff-Lewis trade went down.

No way. Lewis is just a 6'10" 3-point gunner who can score occasionally in transition. Why would we give up on Eddie after one year when we already know what Rashard can do? Eddie has the potential to be a lot better than Rashard. To get Rashard in Houston, Eddie can't be a part of the deal. Not when you have KT, Cato or Rice who can also be traded.

Hmm...maybe he meant Eddie Griffin the actor. I'd do that trade. Though it would be hard to give up Shaf...I mean Undercover Brother. Besides, we already got Moochie. :D

Lewis is a very good player and can one day be a great player, but there simply is too much potential in EGriff to pass up.

Plus, we do not need Lewis' outside versatility and 3-game as much as Griffen's interior 4-game. Griff's inside game can be invaluable to us, as he will undoubtedly be a better rebounder, shot-blocker and post player than Lewis ever will be. Besides, IMHO, I think he can pretty much match up with Rashards 3-point game. These reasons not to mention the chemistry issues involved with bringing a 16-point/game player into the lineup makes this trade a resounding no-no for the Rocks.

Big relief that Carrol D and Rudy T agree.

Hmmm..a one dimensional player who wants max or near max money for a multi-talented player that has an unlimited upside? Sounds great! For the Sonics. I'm not interested in Rice Jr especially not for Eddie.

I hate redundant threads. Why can't we just make a freaking Sticky thread for Lewis and put us out of our misery.

Make a sticky for all of Sept, and delete all new Lewis threads that have no new news.

Anyone with me on this idea??

Look. Take Eddie's numbers last year while he was starter and compare them to Rashard's. I'll bet they are close. Now realize Rashard is a 4-year vet and Eddie was a 1st year, 19 year-old rookie. Everyone talks about Rashard's potential, well the guy has been in the league 4 frikkin years, granted he is very young, and has improved steadily over his tenure in the NBA, but age ain't nothin' but a #,a how long can you keep falling back on "the old potential card". Bill and Calvin are always talking about that 4th year, when a player should be on the brink of what he's gonna be, either a role player or a superstar. With Rashard you can't tell what he's going to develop into (right now looks average), but my man Eddie got off to a slow start but since then he looks like a breed of R.Wallace/Tim Duncan, which is scary. Eddie's inside/outside game on offense, and his uncanny shot-blocking ability makes him (in my mind) virually untradeable.

SF are a dime a dozen these days, you can find what Lewis provides in a good veteran.

What Griffin has is something that only comes with some of the best players. He can shoot, he can block shots, and he can be one of the best PF that the franchise has ever seen.

Lewis will probably be another Pippen if he comes to Houston. He will complain the whole time, and ask to be traded.

Talk about trading a fully armored general in the making who can both fight and shoot, for an armorless and defenseless archer.

Panda you said it in such a poetic way! It illustrates exactly what we are dealing with!
