In July Lewis was going to make a decision before Mason's wedding. Then the week after. It's now September and is Lewis not screwing with three teams' ability to move on?

Is this Seattle's way of waiting out the competition, calling Lewis' Dallas bluff?

Should the Rockets care? Do they still want 'in' these 'sweepstakes'?

    Anyone have a klew?

    Isn't Bateer restricted FA?

Won't Yao be bushed by the time he arrives for training camp?

Lewis already has 60 Million plus up to 14 million of bonus money on the table from Seattle. He might sign for the MCE just for spite then go for the max later. My guess is he will sign with Seattle, but who knows...

the Rockets should move on and try to complete their final roster by either getting another backup shooting guard or pickup their team option on Oscar Torres without waiting for Lewis.

I don't think we need him but if we could get Lewis for the MCE it would make us a much better team. It would be silly to not offer it to him.

We don't need Rashard. We would be way over the cap plus what about boki's playing time.

we don't need nim but it would be nice to have him because he is a proven player. Unlike nachbar, who i think has more potential thant lewis, cause shooting and athletic abiltiy wise they are equal, but boki can handle the rock.

It would be so sweet if the Rockets were to publically say that we dont want him. Would take away some of the bargaining power of that cry baby.

    Next Kobe my butt.

From what I understand, Lewis is about 6'10". If nothing else, having a starting front line of men that big just excites me. I think we try to get it done without giving up Grif or someone like that.

I agree with you, that Lewis would contribute to future cap problems, but the Rockets should not use Nachbar's playing time as a reason to pass on Rashard. I mean, I think he'll be good too, but you don't pass on a proven NBA player for someone who hasn't played a game yet. Especially, if that player is not really considered a sure thing. The best the Rockets could do is trade Mo for Lewis, but it doesn't sound like that's even been considered. That would clean up the logjam at PF, and helped to solidify our weakest postion at the same time.

If we can get him for the MCE (probably unlikely), then its a no brainer.

If we can get him in a S&T and in the process get rid of Mo and some other garbage, I think it makes sense.

The guy can play...period....and right now, we don't have anything better at that position...Boki included.
