I dont know about any of you but I feel Brook Lopez would be a better (Long Term) fit then Dwight Howard......Why not help Brooklyn get what it wanted for soo long in Dwight Howard and let us get Brook Lopez in the process!!!: grin: Brook Lopez 2012-2013 season ppg: 19.4 rpg: 7 blk: 2.1 And as of late he really has not been injury prone....... I believe this could be easily done...Brooklyn will want to free up cap room for dwight and if daryl morey would take us out of the campaign for dwight Brooklyn will be where dwight wants to go!!!
really......mediocrity...lol maybe on the glass but not scoring. he gives us a much longer future of a legit post scoring threat vs dwight with his ****ing drama and injury issues...we have asik on the glass...we will be really good!!!
Any 7' center that can't average double digit rebounds does not deserve a 14 mill + a year. But hey its Brooklyn. Hell Dwight averaged 12 rbg at about 80% last season. Lopez is trash.
WE GOT ASIK ON THE GLASS!!!!!! Dwight will clog the lane....Brook lopez can make the 16 foot shot and has post game...dwight doesnt....Brook Lopez is not injury prone.....he is a borderline allstar if he steps up his rebounding some.. BUT WE HAVE ASIK....GOD DAMN!!!
Please do your homework before you post. http://www.nj.com/nets/index.ssf/2012/04/brook_lopez_said_the_injury_th.html
If Dwight decides that he wants to be in Brooklyn, Lopez would be an excellent fall back plan. I think he fits better next to Asik as well. I wouldn't go after Lopez INSTEAD of DH, but if DH decides he wants to go play for Jason Kidd then I'd take Lopez off their hands in a heart beat.
He probably fits well next to Asik, but no way we want him over Dwight. Dwight is probably at 80% of Asik + Brook.
Deciding he wants to be in Brooklyn is nice, there's no way to get there. If there was, his free agency decision would have been over a month ago.
To have Asik on the glass, you need to plug one of Asik or Lopez in at power forward. Asik can't rebound from the bench. I'm not sure either of them have the mobility to play at power forward. So, if you want to keep Asik as the starting center to take care of the rebounding, but pick up a big man you're going to start at power forward, why not get an actual power forward? Like Josh Smith or Paul Millsap? They are the same echelon of player, but they actually play the position they'll be asked to play. Or, you can get Dwight Howard, who can score okay down low and plays the defense and gets the rebounds. Then you don't need to rely on Asik to cover deficiencies the way you'd have to with Brook Lopez. You could even trade Asik for a power forward like Josh Smith or Paul Millsap.
