I am not a fan of David Aldridge, but he makes some good points about the Dream Team and Vince Carter mixing it up with the other players.

I say we are all overreacting to what Vince has done. So many other athletes have done so much worse, only to receive admiration as a tough competitor!

Read it, tis a good article! This is my favorite quote of the article:

"But the object is to win a gold medal. Did you see all those gymnasts bouncing off of apparati last week? Was it pretty? Nope. Did they hand out gold medals anyway? Sure did."

I think alot of people just want these guys to shut up and play. The world already knows they are the best. Win the gold with hard work and dignity, not with trash talk.

I don't know why David had to bring rce into this. It's rather sad.

I say you should have watched some of the games (as should David Aldridge) before saying that Vince Carter was villianised. I don't think the amatuers should come back, but players who behave like 5 year olds shouldn't be there either.
If Vince plays for team usa again then Kemp and Coleman should sue [IMG]

    Doc,
I watched EVERY game with the exception of the game against China. So please, don't insinuate I am formulating an opinion merely from an article. I know what happened, and guess what? I still think we are overreacting.

Just read an article in the USA Today.

Guess their are many, many americans who are "over reacting" to it.
